Duende I believe was the first person to learn about the 999 charges shenanigans with dugby, and robuxy has been going absolutely crazy amazing with materials extraction and shared with me how she got mota’s/dugby’s minecart by taking it to the depths! Massive props and shoutout to both of them and the Hyrule Engineering/Datamining communities as a whole!

Does it not work for the first part of Dugby's quest though? Because the Minecart still disappeared for me despite having 999 Zonai Charges. :P

⁠​⁠@@KlericYTye it still should work: I used the first quest to extract dugby’s. I hadn’t cleared out the fire temple phenomena on that save (I had just progressed to opening the chasm/defeating moragia). It disappeared on me too but I just saved and reloaded at the initial spawn area in goron city and was able to get it

I tried it specifically on Dugby’s second quest leg but I can’t remember all the shenanigans required. Basically he waits for you to clear up space for the quest turn in, during which point you’re free to make off with the cart and perform whatever other nonsense is required to steal it without requiring the special stick. Turns out almost every quest has special dialog for if you are full on whatever the reward is, and some of them result in pretty unique interactions like these ones.

i learned in my No paraglider run of TOTK that you can descend safely on any "standable" object by spamming rewind on it when its about to gain too much velocity, it can be a bit tedious, but its how i descended to the depths whenever i found a new crater

You can just glue a steering stick to a rock or any other object available and ride that down to the depths too if you have steering sticks available

you can also use the skull lake chasm. first clear out the stal baddies at the bottom. then do game. then fly the cart over near the chasm. fuse it with two ice blocks to prevent it from sinking into the water. then put a control stick and a stabilizer on it. ultrahand it over the chasm then pull it back on the ground. get in. recall it to hover back over the chasm. cancel recall and control all the way to the bottom.

How did I get here...? You know what, it's probably fine. Great video I barely understand the reasoning or idea of, and props to the people who made it possible.
