This is a tutorial on how you can make a really simple alcohol torch. It works by squeezing the bottle and with this motion the fumes from the alcohol are blown to the little flame on top of the bottle, igniting them.

In Olde Times, a common type of torch used by jewelers was an ordinary alcohol lamp and a blowpipe held in the mouth. You would blow through the blowpipe, directing the air across the alcohol flame and onto the work. There was no alcohol vapor being burned; just a lot of oxygen being added to the alcohol flame to make it burn hotter and also to direct the flame horizontally. This would create enough heat to melt "hard solders," i.e. silver and gold solders that melt at about a red-hot temperature. One trick to using this tool was learning to let your cheeks fill with air, then expel the air in your mouth while you inhale through your nose. That way you can create a continuous airflow, instead of puffing.

...What Is Islam? Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him

I made similar years ago using just a candle flame for soldering, I had a glass tube for the nozzle and a rubber tube to blow from my mouth which with careful expertise you can keep the air flowing continuously from your cheeks. I think I had the nozzle in the blue part of the flame.

I wonder what happens if the 2mm copper tube is in the heat of the flame? maybe the expanding gases will do the blowing action on their own.

I think this is a clever idea and neat design for a torch that has a nice low idle consumption for burst usage, but I think having the hot metal insert in the plastic lid is a bad idea, I'd try and find a way to get a metal lid to lessen the possibility of things melting and slipping apart.

Use an air compressor feeding air in the top, down to a dipstick under the surface of the liquid. It will bubble the liquid and create vapor faster, and you don't have to pump it. I built a torch just like that that runs on gasoline. Stays lit on its own too.

What if you had a small coil of the copper tubing over the flame to make it very hot then the tubing will be in the liquid alcohol so when you squeeze it lightly alcohol will run up the tub and be vaporized.
