I own your enclosure. I would love to see you do a bioactive set up in that. I want to change over to bioactive.

Awesome 😮I’d love to see everything about the yemen chameleon enclosures one day. I’m currently designing one and building it

I can offer a detailed description of what Yemen Chameleons need for their environment if that would be helpful! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZWvlXqQmcZ_irc

@chameleonacademy this video is very informative. I’m not quite sure where to find everything. Can you link them in the description of there to find like the laca balls, bugs, special soil, etc? Thank you!

Is that Maidenhair fern I see? I'm getting the same for my carpet chameleon today.
@ChameleonAcademy2 ай бұрын
That is a Maidenhair fern!

What kind of UVB bulb did you use also which wattage? I put maidenhair fern in my enclosure last week it was dead within two days...I left it in there for now to see if it is just being over dramatic 😂... Luckily the peas that Michael Nash suggested are doing nicely 😂

I am using a Leap T5 5.0. Equivalent to the ZooMed 5.0. But I do have it suspended above the cages couple inches.
@emeraldgarrett2 жыл бұрын
@@ChameleonAcademy Ah I see, the usual T5 🙂 I was surprised by the "high" reading only to realise the cage isn't that tall as mine. Do you use a heat bulb at all? Your care sheet mentions a basking temperature between 80-86 degrees. How do you provide the nighttime drop?

What plants/ branch type did you use?

Thanks for the video, Bill! The setup looks great - would these enclosures provide enough ventilation for panthers? Cheers :)
@ChameleonAcademy Жыл бұрын
It would provide enough ventilation, but the issue is the size. The Leap cages are not yet big enough for an adult panther. But they are great for hatchlings and juveniles.

Good morning, Bill. As far as maintenance goes, how often does the substrate have to be changed? Or, do you just add more of the leaf layer as it decomposes?
@ChameleonAcademy2 жыл бұрын
I just add more as it decomposes

That comes standard with the cages from Leap

Do you have dragon strand substrate trays? Leap cages aren’t big enough for me
