Here is the expression you will need! iif((comp.RenderEnd-time)

There has to be an easier way to make this happened..

Hi Josh, I'm quite sure here is something wrong. You are not stretching the existing animation. Instead you are reversing your animation with the TimeSpeed node with speed set to -1 and in the second half of your output you are showing the reversed animation using the Dissolve node. You can see this because your background is not moving UP at the end as it is in the original composition shown at 1:16 but it's moving down from where it comes. This is fine for symmetric animations. Actually in that case you wouldn't need the second part of your title animation since it's not needed anymore. So what you are doing is just reversing your animation and playing the original one to the middle of the clip and than playing the reversed one after the middle which is playing back to the beginning to the original. The only dynamic thing is the calculation of the midpoint. If you have something with an animation i nthe middle than you would also get into trouble. So this is definitely a different behavior to a key stretcher! In order to really do some stretching is to use a key frame stretcher. Nut I recognized it is alittle bit buggy and does not work correctly in any times. Additionally the stretcher would really stretch the animation to a new length but the thing I often need ist just to move the animation to a different point e.g. to the end but leave it at the same length. I prefer to use expressions instead of keyframing in the original animation. You can achieve all the above mentioned things with some nice formulas. Best regards, Reiner

Why not use a time stretcher instead?

I honestly just like this way better. No real reason

Thank you my friend, I've already seen this on the David Power channel, but i really appreciate you teaching things that aren't so obvious to noobs like myself.

For some reason, ALL of my titles are set at the default duration of 00:12. That wasn't always the case and I don't know what I did or when I did it to change it to that. I also believe this is impacting what I see when I hover over the titles...it barely shows anything. What I end up having to do is drag the title to the timeline and then right click to change the duration. You can imagine that would suck if you had hundreds of title to choose from. All I want to do is set ALL of my titles to a default duration of 05:00 seconds but I can't seem to figure out how to do it or where to look in the over 3,000+ page manual to find it. I know there got to be some setting I'm not seeing that needs to be changed.

Would this still work if you saved the title composition out as a macro instead of keeping it in power bins?

Yes it would!

Thanks a lot! I feel like I still struggle a lot with fusion trying to lengthen and shorten things. Just not as intuitive as a timeline and being able to retime individual elements. But this helps a lot!
