New FREE Effects, Titles & Transitions in Davinci Resolve 19

It just goes to show you that you don't know what you don't know. I was in the middle of editing a video and decided to watch this video first because I had been playing with some of these new transitions, titles, and generators. And the big takeaway for me in this video was the fact that I could use the transitions on some of the titles. That's huge. Might not be huge for everybody but it's huge for me because I'm not a video editor so it's just that one little extra thing that makes the video that much better. So this video was bangin. Have to say I came from a very old version of Sony Vegas and iv been super impressed with Davinci Resolve since I started using it just over a year ago. I use the free one as can't afford the studio but the free does all the things I need being a small KZbin channel. Hope they keep up the great and thanks for a super video.

​@@teambroforce that's the reason why I switched to DaVinci about 4 years ago. I had the top of the line Alienware Desktop PC and premiere would constantly crash and the playback would not work after adding a few effects. Switching to DaVinci was the best choice I made. Besides being easier to use it is also much faster and almost never crashes.. In 4 years of daily use I had Mayne 4-5 crashes at most.

This is an informative tutorial for Resolve 19. And it brings up a new problem that I'm currently struggling with. I purchased some third-party effects titles and transitions (Four Editors). I expected that in the package there would be a mechanism to upload the package into da Vinci Resolve, it does not have one. My search on KZbin has proven fruitless and I would appreciate any help you could provide me to upload the product. Bear in mind that like a car I know how to use it I don't know how to repair it. Great video! Thanks! Since you ‘never got around’ to creating a fusion effect for the page curl transition, perhaps you could consider a tutorial on how to edit the new fusion effect to fix the start of the curl page effect so it starts outside of the frame as you suggested it should.

Alex I’d love to see you make a “Magic Speed ramp” tool.. I can not think of anyone better qualified to make an initiative tool to help users create speed ramp effects and transitions … Speed ramps on edit can get a bit painful and fusion is beyond many users…. after some more testings I think it has something to do with the playback quality, somehow on half resolution it will crash the export, either on H.265 and H.264 when it reaches the stinger part

Alex! Help! I have paid version of DR. Watched your tutorials (love them!) and wanted to use Vintage Texture or Comic Speed lines. Only, they don't work for me. When I go to inspector, generator, all I have is an on/off switch! Zero effect. Zero ability to do any adjustments! Any suggestions? I have done each DR update as they come out. Do I need to delete DR altogether and reload the whole thing again? Please help out a couple of guys!?

Is there any way to modulate effects using an audio track? Or any effects such as Spectrum graph or VU meter that use audio to generate? This kind of thing is useful for music video visualizers, and currently I still use the HitFilm generators to create them for importing to DaVinci Studio.

I have that problem with black screen on my macstudio M1MAX too. Also export in h265 is somehow from time to time little bit damaged. I havent that issue before DR19.

@MrAlexTech I need help please! Ever since I installed version 19 of Resolve my audio has been acting funny. This is kind of hard to explain so let me try to be as clear as I can be. My audio waves ARE showing, and they ARE in sync with the video. However, the waves on the audio are not aligning with itself. For example: if I have a clap at 2 minutes even, it's there on the video and the sound is aligned with the clip, but the visual spike where it should be on the "graph" is not until 2 minutes and 8 seconds into the clip. I've tried looking up how to sync it, but the only thing I keep finding is how to sync the audio and video together, which is not what I need. I hope you can help. Thanks!

Alex. The timeline transcription has worked since I moved from 18 to 19. It's a common issue I found and I can't resolve it. I have studio but the simple right click on timeline, transcribe and "wahla" as gone. Any known fixes at your end?

Ohh good spot! No idea 😂 I didn't even notice that. Yeah there's a setting within preferences to stop renders on missing frames or something like that. Can't remember the exact wording but I'll dig it out
