Is it possible to brush a toddler's teeth when they refuse? What can we do to brush a toddler's teeth when they hate it? Is there a world where tooth brushing is actually enjoyable for a toddler? There is. I have 5 tips for brushing a toddler's teeth using gentle parenting techniques. In the Montessori Home, this is part of the Care of Self activities. As always, allowing the child to feel more in control of the situation will lead to a more successful tooth brushing experience. I like that you offered real options vs… just pin them down and force brush their teeth. Smh. I understand if that’s the last resort but most videos use it as the only option. Thanks for these tips!

Hahaha i was just finally having some success in real teeth brushing this previous week even if it is only for like 2 circles on each row lol I'm thinking long term. Hahaahah i just showed Huda abit of stella when she woke up and she called her mia because since i showed her mia doing the coat flip she has called every baby mia. The only babies she knows is her cousin Maya and Mia who was in the snow and wore a jacket. It really helped her pick up on it so i don't regret showing her. Bless, Watching you reminded me how it still always feels like I'm forcing her whilst holding her but i am being so gentle i just need to be close and wrap my arms around her so i don't hurt her gums lol

Yay! Yes, any success now is a good foundation for the future. That's how I look at it too 😅 Lol in Huda's defense, I think Stella and Mia look quite similar. Especially now that we are entering the mullet phase. But it's noticed Stella calls any girl in a book "mama" and any boy "papa"...so Huda isn't alone 😅 We definitely had to go through that bear hug phase too, but that always made her move around way too much to get any progress at all, so I had to quickly think of a new strategy. I had to hold Stella that way this past week to get her wye checked, and she was very upset by it. But...that was the only way for thw doctor to get the close look at her eye that she needed to prescribe treatment. At the end of the day, their health comes first! We had lots of hugs after the fact 🤗

Totally agree START EARLY! We had that banana one too it was fantastic ❤️ for us I definitely think the bubblegum flavored tooth paste helped too haha

Ooh yeah we have berry tooth paste that Stella really likes....and the minty floss really got her 😅 doesn't care nearly as much for the fruity kids floss 🤷‍♀️
