Awesome work, very painstakingly done. Well done. Personally, I think it looked better organic (without paint), or if painted in antique colours. The key thing would be for the end product to show that it was made out of concrete and molded into this unbelievable shape. The bright colours make it look a little like it was made of plastic.

Definately looks better without color. Terracotta if you do have color. It does depend on where it's being put. Living in New Zealand we love natural. Ferns...A brilliant idea! You could use this idea in numerous garden plans. With the cost of materials, I'd probably just by a pot. Loved watching!😁 Thank you.🙏💖

I made something like this four years ago, made with fabric and cement. Benefits are that it is very hard to actually break, and if it does chip, you can repair it easily. Very unique looking, as I have made a fabric bow. Bad side us that you have to cover it with cement a second or third time, as it will be see through, or too bendable. But it is awesome. Great conversation piece.

Just a personal preference here, but I much prefer the natural state of the concrete to the paint. To me the idea is to highlight the plant, not the planter. It’s like putting beautiful flowers in a highly decorated vase. The two distract from, and fight with, one another. Just too much going on for either to be fully appreciated.

I would love to try this project! I wouldn't put the bottom stand on it. Also, I would spray paint it grey with hi-light shinny glitter grey on the folds and put broken glasses stone near bottom/edge of opening.
