The colors in the Laura Geller are dependent on the mix of the swirl - which is my only criticism. Because of the way this is made, it is almost impossible to them to be consistent in color. When they were available in store, I would open the box to look at the color - until I found the one with the right mix for me! I do love this foundation for the ease of application, with the caveat that you must apply with the right brush, and your skin is not to oily underneath (the color grabs onto any moisture). Her spackle, the best primer ever IMHO prevents this.

Hi Caroline, love watching the make up video. Primark also do a Bobbi Brown dupe for the vitamin based primer which is probably similar to the Lacura one and perhaps more readily available.

I love a make up video! I tried the baked foundation powder too and found it very drying. My old faithful is Estée Lauder double wear foundation powder, which somehow for me seems to work. I love the hourglass ambient lighting powder, it gives me a bit of a glow without looking sparkly. Love the travel mirror, thank you for that recommendation it’s come with us to Dartmouth! Xx

I do love a GRWM video. 😊 I know exactly what you mean about foundation on older skin. It's taken me ages to find one that actually does what I need it to. It's not cheap, sadly, but luckily I only need a small amount so should hopefully last a while. It stays on all day too, whereas all the others I tried disappeared from my nose, cheeks and chin in no time, even with good skin prep and primer underneath. I so miss the days when all I needed was a tinted moisturiser, some mascara and a bit of lippy! 😂

I make sure I always put my face on regardless of what day lol Hair is always done but I find it easy as I am a hairdresser and hot rollers are a godsend. I am in the 56 club too and love a fluffy headband, mine has ears on it and I don't care, hubby bought it for me lol

I use the no17 £4 eye lid primer, I apply a tiny bit with a concealer brush, let it set and then apply my shadow and it doesn't budge. Its the best one and I have stocked piled! I am just on the look out now for a sensitive mascara that doesn't flake, clump or irritate and cost the price of a mortgage to purchase lol

I use the Bobbi Brown face base and love it , but I really should try the primark one as it’s a lot cheaper . I’ve used the same concealer as you for years too , I used to like the Laura Geller baked foundation in my early 40s and liked it , I recently bought another and it’s horrible on my skin now . I think it’s because I’ve aged and my skin is drier now . I really enjoyed the video .

Reading all your comments about the Laura Geller foundation which I recently purchased I am wondering if it may have been a mistake. I am fortune that I need a really light base and love tinted moisturiser. I am boujie when it comes to beauty. More of a collector than wearer. Does anyone else buy make up and stash it. I have some beautiful powders with stunning designs on them and cannot bear to use them too much 😂

Hi Gwen, it's not as good as the Dior ones I bought, though the packaging is absolutely lovely of course! Definitely overpriced, to be honest I think all designer make up is probably overpriced. A lovely treat, though.

The thing I like about you, when you do your makeup, is the fact that you take your hair off your face and roll up your sleeves. Some people have hair all over their face and fluffy long sleeved knitted jumpers down to their knuckles, I hate that! Go Caroline x

Maybe hold it a little further away from your face as you spray, definitely should be a light mist rather than a full on shower!
