Thank you for the video! Always enjoy watching your efforts for us. As for the limit of clearing, adjacent to the county road, I'm assuming you discussed that with the property owner(?). If they were expecting the area from where the county ended maintenance to the treeline to be brush hogged, it wouldn't seem practical or desirable to leave a strip of grass unmowed. Typically the county's flail-type mowers are less forgiving, then your capability. As always, you want to keep up your great reputation for satisfied customers.

What was the holdup? If you run your diamond cutter a that low a speed your going to burn the blade up. Don’t be afraid to cut any grass with it. Hey crank up the rpm on your blade. The only time you raise an lower your blade is when you incounter bigger trees. 3 to 8 in it will munch down on some greens. It will shred up to an 8 to 9 inch tree they’ll be afraid to use it that’s what it was built for they should carry a warranty that lets you cut foliage down you should down that road in 20 to 30 minutes at the most. I’ll run them units were they first come out. Don’t be afraid of it what it was designed for Cesar got a blade on it that has Keith on it or what it looks like blades on a Bush hog. Like I said don’t be afraid of it get down on some foliage is there’s your dinner

Question about the blades and carbide teeth. I would think the carbide teeth would be facing the other direction? I use a tooth that looks very similar to those carbide teeth on my stump grinder. I face the carbide side in the direction I’m cutting. I’m not criticizing, just asking. I may not be seeing it correctly or not understand how your machine works. I’m looking to pick up a brush cutter soon and need to know to expect from these machines. Thank you
@idigit49673 жыл бұрын
Great question! So the cutter is bi-directional, you can cut both ways with it. The only downside to that is when you reverse the flow you do lose some of the mulching capacity of the teeth and it does tend to tear the teeth up a little bit more. But you don't have to reverse the flow, I just did it to see how it would work and to get more life out of the blades before changing them. If you watch my most recent video I just had a new flywheel installed with newer, stronger blades and more mulching teeth. If you have any other questions let me know! Thanks!
@darrenswoodworks86953 жыл бұрын
@@idigit4967 a follow up question, how much do you think the carbide teeth help in mowing and chopping? If you only had the main blades do you think you could do the work you are now doing?
@idigit49673 жыл бұрын
@@darrenswoodworks8695 I could definitely do the work I am doing now with just the blades without the teeth. MTL makes this cutter with a teeth or no teeth option. I think the teeth definitely help with processing material on the ground once its cut down. It also helps chew up anything that may stick up and rub on the bottom of the flywheel and just makes cutting more efficient when doing larger material. But if you are doing more grassy material then the teeth will only cause more drag and slow the flywheel down and not do much so it depends on what you are mostly cutting. But I do a little of both and I really like the teeth even if I'm not as efficient when cutting grass.

I know next to nothing about this type of machinery, but when you were showing the deck it looked like the carbide cutters had their carbide teeth "backwards". Do you reverse rotation when you use them? What am I missing here? Thanks, really enjoyed the video! @59:13
@idigit49673 жыл бұрын
I had the blade rotation reversed in this vid so I could use the other side of the blades. When you do that the carbides are facing the wrong direction which is not ideal but the cutter still works fine. It's bi-directional by design. Thanks for watching Matt, glad you enjoyed!
@Furnoggin3 жыл бұрын
That makes no sense. Your telling us you flipped over 3 blades to use them on the other side which again makes no sense. Just admit you installed the blades wrong.
