General cuing is great for beginner students and also beginner yoga teachers. It takes the thinking out of it. Foot goes here, hands do this. The problem is no body is exactly the same, and every body needs a little bit different “perfect alignment”.
Let’s look at wheel pose for example.
What you’ve probably been told:
1️⃣ Feet parallel and hip-width distance
2️⃣ Hands shoulder-width distance, fingers face forward
That may work for you. It may feel good, but can we make this pose fit your body better?
In this video we take a look at 1 way to adjust the pose to work for you, rather than you work for the “perfect alignment”.
