Don't feel bad about it. If he abused you, be it physically or mentally, he's not worth your time. I was in the same boat back when I was a teenager and I couldn't be happier to be rid of him now. Leaving him has left me much stronger and more confident and I was able to find someone to take his place and ten times over. It'll all get better, I assure you!

This has been one of my favorite songs for years. Those of you commenting about Cory Montieth need to shut it. this song came out long before he died and probably long before he was born. It's not a memorial song, it's a confessional song about how you truly feel for somebody even if you're scared to tell them face to face.

Songs have different meanings for everyone, who are you to say someone can't feel a certain way about a song? Dwight Yoakam has been around long before my uncle died, and his songs remind me of him. People grieve in their own ways, it's a memorial song to a lot of people, you don't have to like it.

Cory Montieth died and millions of people were shocked but most of all upset. This is one way people can remember what an amazing life he lived just to make others happy. Lea sang this song for him, not for anyone else and definitely not for you to criticize what this song means to people. Eva Cassidy's Fields of Gold was out long before my Grandma died yet I still well up every time I hear it. It makes no difference whether you think of Cory or not, it is everyone's personal preference who or what to picture while they listen to this song and you are not going to be the person to change that.
