I copied the path to vst3 file straight into FL Studio's plugin scan, but it couldn't find it/open it or whatever, so I literally copied and pasted the baked vst3 into common files/vst3 and bang - it worked out of the box! Thank you for this movie, it helped a lot! :D

Great tutorial, I appreciated you coding in realtime (not just fast forwarding), and honestly, some of those hiccups in coding were helpful because it helps reinforce where things needed to go and why, other tutorials are super long and I feel like you need to have a decent understanding of C++ to follow. This was my first plugin I have ever created. It's not doing too much but there's actually a lot built into this, creating a UI, getting user input, working with the audio signal, and doing something with the audio signal. Thanks!

If you make more tutorials, a MIDI one would be a good one.

@@PatrickWard4his mistakes just shows he is not a professional programmer and he shouldn't be trusted. Some may see his work as best practice which is harmful. Especially if he can barely use an IDE.

Nice video! I have a few questions. On the latest Monthly Meetup of The Audio Programmer, Stefano D'angelo gave a talk also about a gain slider. He said that you likely want a single pole filter on all your inputs to decrease jitter since the GUI refreshrate is slower than the sample rate. Is this something Juce does automatically? In addition, he also changed his formula to change the raw volume to allow it to go to zero completely which is not possible in your version, so that may be interesting for you to check out.

You shouldn't be teaching if you are making so many simple mistakes in one short video. At least have the complete code on another monitor or printed out.

@@locopenguin6161 I absolutely understand I don't need to watch. I clicked away after he started to be shitty. And yes, you should read too if you are defending this kind of misinformation. Watch one lone coder. He is actually very good at giving long tutorials on projects with good explanations. The people who learned on KZbin are going to get a shock when they get in the industry and not know what to do with extremely large projects.
@locopenguin61617 ай бұрын
Thanks for the recommendation but once again you are telling people what to do. I told you to read because you are negative and complain. I already read and don't need a punk like you to tell me to. I don't know what type of industry experience you weild to think you are this knowledgeable. I hope it's tremendous. You should make the work a more collaborative space instead of pulling people down with your toxic behavior. Yes there are mistakes in this but this is a very similar talk to what you would get from colleague bringing you up to speed on a software you know nothing about. Everyone only improves by trying. Everyone except for you. Who'd rather sit around at their moms house and say negative things. Good luck to you.

this is a great video, i am able to create a new juce project and follow along all the way up to when i open my ide, there is no C++ code or anything. Just one file of this weird code with a weird .extension file. (project.pbxproj) I cant get any of the source code or anything to open up like you do. any ideas as to why?
