What airflow and temp did you use for your hot air station? I need to do this on a GC when my caps come in.

how do you know the capacitors are the issue? why not turn the adjuster on the other side?

mine runs on 22 ohms. if i switch the capacitors will it fix all my problems? and run on a regular ohms #? i bought a another gamecube. but JPN gamecube off ebay but was unaware it only runs japanese games. its possible to modify it and chabge regions but thats more money on the tools than possibly 2-3 tools to just switch capacitors on my US gamecube. PLS LMK!! 😭

dont you just have to rebridge a solder connection on the motherboard to change regions?

0:31 This was very informative and a real solid option compared to adjusting the potentiometer. If I can add anything regarding the instructions, it would be to go into more detail when installing the capacitors in regards to their polarity. Great content regardless. Thanks!

Haven't touched my GC in a few years (5 or so), and when I bought an HDMI adapter for it I decided to play with it again. I was surprised when I found it could still read game discs, but not my burned DVD-R containing Swiss, which it could read perfectly before. Even playing games, the drive isn't happy and makes snapping noises all the time. I'll give this a go! :)

do you happen to fix others gamecubes? i'm truly considering shipping you my gamecube to get the capacitors replaced and i'd pay however much id have to. please lmk!!! i've commented on another video of yours mentioning how i managed to fix the potentiometer but only runs on 22 ohms. will changing the capacitors help the potentiometer run on a reasonable ohms or is that a seperate case in its own?

It may be related to other components seeing how low the potentiometer is set. I don’t have a shop of any kind, I only do this as a hobby, but I might consider fixing it as long as the shipping costs are covered, free of charge.
