Just what I needed to know. Much cheaper to buy new water connector and adapt old one as drain down kit. Only a third of the price of a Flo drain down kit.

Great idea but I would advise against using the caravan internal 12V outlets for supplying power for a tyre compressor without checking the current ratings are adequate. The 12V outlets in my caravan (and others that I have owned) are clearly marked with a current rating of 6 amps whereas tyre compressors can draw anything between 10 - 15 amps.

There are 2 pipes from the Whale pump. Which one did you fit the tyre valve to and what did you do to the other open ended pipe once the pump is removed?

The pipe that the water flows through. The other pipe houses the electric cables. So you don't need to worry about that pipe.

How do you drain the on board water tank down as well
@caravanningwithcharlie2 жыл бұрын
Is your on board tank removable? If so there is usually a tap style switch that allows you to switch the water supply from the inboard tank to the outside (aquaroll) style one. Once you have switched the direction of the water to the outside method you should be able to disconnect the water pipe from the in board tank and remove it for emptying.

Does this amount of water come out after previously opening the taps and the yellow valve to let the hot tank water empty?

Hi Ade. Yes it does! It's really surprising how much water is still in the system. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
