What a GREAT idea! I'm thinking you could even color them with nail polish. I'm gonna have to try it. Thanks for the tip!

You can get glossy accents at most craft stores. It is made by Ranger Ink, so it's easily found. Try googling it. Good luck

If you colour the flat side (bottom) the glue remains shiny on the surface with the colour underneath

Just a thought: if you color the flat back side of the gems, they might retain more depth and shine than coloring the tops.

Hi, can you store these in a container or will they stick to each other. Just a tip if they do I heard that if you put them in the freezer after they are dry and only for a few minutes that stops them sticking together. I saw a similar tutorial using a hot glue and she said to do this to stop them sticking to each other. Thank you for this tip always looking for a way to save pingas.

very accessible technique. Very cool. My question though is, if you use the same product to glue the gems down and the color is on top of the gem, what is the purpose of making the gems on the non-stick mat? Why not just make the drops directly on your project and color their tops with the markers? Will the glue flatten out if it's on a porous material/ the mat keeps the surface tension of the glue so they maintain their dome shape?
