I noticed that you used the Electric grand piano patch for the Cynthia encounter theme, which is actually a really common mistake that people (especially beginners) make when creating DPPt covers and remixes. Its cause is the fact that since most of the DPPt soundbank is in-line with general midi, people assume that everything is, including the Electric Grand Piano preset, which is not. The Piano that you hear in-game in DPPt is an Acoustic Grand Piano, not an Electric one, but if you look at the DPPt soundbank, the preset for the Acoustic Grand Piano is located on the Electric Grand Piano slot in General Midi. I belive the developers couldn't place the Acoustic Grand Piano preset on the first (0, or in some DAWs 1) slot of General midi, since the frist slot in DPPt soundbank is occupied by Reverse cymbal, and the second slot is for standard drumset, therefore leaving the Acoustic Grand Piano with the third slot. I don't intend to be mean, it's just for informating and spreading awareness, so that everyone can make better covers and remixes.

Hi, I'm new to rom hacking. I have a question about the music. Can we import music from Pokemon 3DS games like XY for example? Or a DS game that has nothing to do with Pokemon? I've seen a lot of people do this so I wanted to know if it's still possible with this method.

I go over this in the video. You cannot import mp3s from other games. You HAVE to have the sequenced audio midi in the sound font of the native game

can this work for gen 5 since it's the same hardware?? there is no bank_basic in vgmtrans for b2w2 so i'm having trouble

Gen 5 games work differently. They have individual banks for each track. You'd have to identify the instrument by its sample, and find something similar in the hgss or plat bank if you wanted to port from g5->g4
