@@TomPetersonRefuseReuse I’d be curious to know if this method really works well with inkjets, magazines, photos printed on photo paper by home printers, etc., as well as using color vs black. Would also be helpful to know how well each type of these transfers adhere and what it looks like on a variety of finishes like poly, satin, open pore satin, nitro, tongue oil, etc. I like this idea - not just for logos and written phrases, but to add pictures of objects/heroes/loved ones and/or abstract designs. To accommodate large images that would take up most or all of the guitar body, you could use a large aluminum baking pan for the water to accommodate bigger (you could get a turkey sized one vs. smaller sizes) or even apply the image in several sections if you’re precise enough to keep everything straight and consistent or use painter’s tape to make a line guide. At any rate, this is a fun idea! I think I saw someone do this once before, but nobody ever verified all of the above. Maybe you can make a follow up video to test a variety of finishes - you don’t even need guitars to do this sort of test if you have some scrap pieces of maple, mahogany painted with each type of common finish. If you’re looking for content ideas, it would be extremely helpful for people looking for inexpensive ideas to mod their guitars. Thanks!
