Materials needed:
-glue gun
-glue sticks (lots of them)
-Mum base (circle or oval)
-ribbon (10 pieces) (5 solid color, 5 can have writing on it, or school colors)
-flowers (you only need one unless you choose an oval and will two)
-extra accessories (teddy bear, freshman/sophomore name pieces, beads, bells)
-don't forget to add extra ribbons or accessories that show if you're into sports or honors
-one ribbon band to go on their arm
Directions:
1. Choose your base. Cut your ribbons into 5 or 6 in pieces. Start gluing your solid color pieces of ribbon to the bottom of the base. (Tip: Remember to not cover the holes of the base because they are for when it's time to glue the flowers}
2. Glue the rest of your ribbons over the solid color ribbons. Arrange and coordinate them to how you want it to look. Make sure all of the ribbons are facing downwards hanging and also make sure they are not upside down.
3. Once you are satisfied with the ribbons now it's time to glue on the flowers. Put hot glue on the base of the flowers and place them in the holes of the base. Push them down firmly to make sure they are in place. Cut off any stems and fluff out the flowers.
4. Add your accessories on top and glue them down firmly.
5. Add a ribbon band to the back of your completed mum to wear around on your shoulder.
6.Voila!
