can you tell me what I will need to run marklin gauge1 trains in england central station 3 +60101 power box and what els do I need to get the power to the track? is there a special central station for gauge1? thanks barry

There is no special central station, you might need to increase the voltage. I don't have Gauge 1 nor a central station, si my answer might not be totally correct. If you want general question answering not related to any video, use our discord server.

So would this replace Marklin #24994? This part allows connecting 2 cables to it: GND and Start. In this example where/how can I connect these 2 cables ?

Märklin 24994 only reacts to the pickup. You can use in certain use my part or the märklin one in certain case. Mine more like 24995. The green cable I solder, goes for example in the input of s88 Modul. The ground in this case comes from the other track. What is the track bed you are using and does it reduce the sound

I use either isolation for lying parkett or depron for lying tiles. Both from DIY shop and quite cheap. It reduce resonance with the whole construction. Also a lot is achieved by not screw the tracks on the base board. On my N-layout I also used Trackbed from Woodland Scenics, which I found quite good as it is much softer and dampens even more, but it more expensive.

This also allows you to run 2 rail trains on the same track. Turnouts will not be possible, that i know of

The current will go through the wheels to the disconnected rail and then through the wire. You can then connect a 16V AC light bulb, a regular 2 - 3V LED (with diodes or a full bridge rectifier and a 10K ohm resistor), or a micro processor (diodes and for instance 220 ohm + 800 ohm resistor, which would leave you having roughly 5V DC and 17V DC output at 16V AC input (maerklin) - provided the micro processor is 5V tolerant). It's actually quite smart. It would have been better if he explained the theory behind it in the video, as he explained very extensively how to make the connection.
