Yes.Mike it would be the heat shield that I need so the 4.5 mm should work to protect the 2 wires that go into the plug for the injector. Since the injector has a + ve / -ve post i am thinking it must matter how the plug goes into the injector I see the common thread on the injector wires is a brown wire is this the negative? If so I don't see any markings on the injector itself. I just want to make sure when I reconnect everything I eliminate obvious issues.

Yes - brown is earth. The Bosch injectors are usually marked with +ve and -ve. On my cars, the plastic plugs are not rectangular and only fit into the injector one way. Mike

Mike I didn't see 5 mm at AES for 2 wires I believe they have 2 types of PVC black drink wrap to be used on injectors. I think they were both 4.5 mm thoughts on which one I need

Hi - are you talking about shrink wrap or heat shield? Shrink wrap would potentially go around the metal crimped terminals and would be maybe 3mm. I bought a box of different shrink wrap sizes when I was doing the ballast resistors. Heat shield would go over both +ve and -ve injector wires and shield them from the engine heat. 4.5mm sounds about right. Mike

Mike my plugs are the same as yours same shape. However I see no marking on the injectors where is the +/- on the injector? When you use the old heat crimped plugs when you plug into the injector is the crimped side down or up?

Crimped side down. If you look carefully at the beginning of the video below, you will se the + symbol on the top of the injector by the metal contacts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaGzooyBqcuXfLs Mike
