Do you sharpen the edges of the bobby-pins that are shaped then glued into the drilled out dowel rod? Any ideas on how to make tools from some type of banding metal that is thick enough to trim both wet clay on the wheel and leather semi dried clay? I’ll sure be checking out the rest of your videos, as well as any other resources you are kind enough to share. I’ve liked your video & subscribed. 👍🏼

Nice. I find myself frequently reaching for bamboo kabob skewers, which come in a pack for $2-3. The thicker ones work very well for a variety of tasks; good for boring small holes, cleaning holes, making patterns. And wooden coffee stir sticks are also very handy for sculpting, scraping, working joints, straight edge, mixing, making those Japanese style depth gauge things... stirring coffee....

Those coffee stir sticks are great for making the whistle hole or fipple on an ocarina also

Great video, some of the things I already do, but you gave me some great ideas. I never thought of using chop sticks, except for eating, lol. Also for my first time students toothpicks are a great pin tool.
