Man, KZbin 6 years ago. Back when things were simple. The amount of nostalgia that can hit you when you click on an old video that you watched when you were little can be off the charts.

I remember the day I showed this to my mom when I was a kid, back when I was really into LBP i wanted my mom to make me a sackboy. She did follow your instructions but in the end it ended looking like if Sackboy got leaned and starved to death lol. But I loved her for making it for me and for trying, thanks for making this for me and my mom to bond over together lol thanks for the memories! :)

A note to those who have questions about increasing and decreasing: "2sc in each sc" simply means to make two single crochets in the next stitch. Make your first sc, then instead of making your next sc in the next stitch, make it in the same stitch you made your previous sc. "1sc in the next 2sc" means a sc decrease. Insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull through, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull through, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook. Hope this helps!

@juankfrank No you don't have to make slip stitch after the 10 rows. So when the pattern asks for "2sc together" you just pull yarn through two stitches and then pull yarn through the three loops on your hook. When you are done decreasing, you should end up with only one stitch.

Hi I know this video is old but I’m commenting to tell you that this pattern has single handedly kept my fuel for crocheting going. I use your pattern so much to make dolls into other characters like your link and ezio, that I’ve memorized the pattern at this point. So thank you so much for sharing your work and being so amazing. :)

What the means is sc for 5 stitches, then sc inc. Sc inc means to sc twice in the same stitch. I refer to the 2sc in 1 as a sc inc because you're increasing your stitch count by squeezing 2 sc's in one stitch each time you sc inc. Hopefully this helps. I'm sure either one of us can help you if you have any more questions.

@VampArtemis Well, the back stitch would give your work a different look and texture to it. The doll would contain visible lines and it would start to curl inwards just a little because you're only utilizing one loop. But after you stuff it, it should still look like a Sackboy head. It might be a little longer because using only one loop would make your work more flexible.

@yayllow Well, if you increase the size of the head, you just need to increase the diameters of everything else to compensate for it. Also, instead of doing 10 rows for the head you should make it a little longer since the diameter is larger.

@xWishfirex 1) No it doesn't. 2) Your stitches might be tighter than mine. But what you can do is to count the number of stitches to see if you have the right amount. If you do then you're doing the right thing. 3) It does get a little difficult to create stitches in the first couple of rows. Just create the stitches and then it'll be easier as you go along. I hope this helped :)

I'm attempting to follow this pattern and I was wondering, when you are doing the top of the head, should the crochets come out evenly? like, when you 1 sc in 5sc then 2sc in 1sc, should the last crochet be the double? because when I finish a round, it's usually on the 2nd or 3rd crochet of the repeated step.
