Awesome dude, thanks for the info. I'm exactly where you where with the game, bored of same cars on same tracks. I would love to do a civic cup car server, so many options for exciting racing that no one caters for. I'm guessing that if I want to just do a race on a track, I just ignore all the ai bits you mentioned here, or is there more to know for setting up a race? I have no friends on ac so would like it to show in the list so anyone can join. Just a couple questions....do I need a fast computer to host? Do I need to be in game for the server to be active, or does it run even if I'm not there? Do I need to be setting up discord pages and whatnot for people to download the cars I put in if they are not standard ac cars? I would love to have races with classic cars, escorts, sierras, astras, things like that, and on classic tracks that arent ac standard, would i need to create a page with links for people to download content, and would i need to ask the creators of the cars and tracks if i could do that with there stuff. I'm eager to do this, hopefully i can. My PC stats if it matters.... Ryzen3 3500 chip, 16gb memory, ssd 500gb hard drive, rx580 8gb graphics card. Are people connecting to my PC and internet connection to race, I have a pretty good connection I think. I've seen places that charge a subscription for server space, is that something I need to think about if heading down the route of creating a racing server, and maybe incorporate a leaderboard or something. I'd appreciate any help you can give if yr still active on this vid. My first thoughts are, civic cup cars on the Nordschleife track, maybe with changing weather and time, I've had some real spectacular moments before racing round Nordschleife while sunset and think it adds so much to the game with changing time. You dont need a super fast pc to setup races at all/ u do need a dedicated server to be running to allow other players to join/ discord would be best to share links, i would get more ram and more memory for ur pc and most cars for ac are free so no u dont need to ask for permission. U would just go ahead and use them. :)

I FIXED THE PORT ISSUE!! If anyone else is having problems with port forwarding i basically left my external IP at 0.0.0.0 and it worked.

@ i had alot of issues after that with some of my friends not being able to connect, so i basically abandoned the server, but it did work. I did everything the same as he said except i put my external ip to 0.0.0.0 and it somehow worked...then i started the server from the file and closed the tab after it said that it was working and started the server in cm.

@ it was my first time doing port forwarding too dont worry. Every router has a different website for this and a different procedure. Look at what brand it is and look up how to do that for that very specific one.

Hey dude thanks for the video.. say I just want to create a server just for me and a friend to practice in, I can skip all the AI and traffic car stuff right (dont even know what traffic cars are - presume it's just additional cars on track ) and it should work ? I had to unlock full version of content manager and my server created in the actual game was showing in CM.. I just tweaked a few settings following your video.. Reason I'm using CM is because my wheel resets every single time and I have to continually run the setup wizard it's driving (no pun) me nuts when just using the game. Someone I suggested to use CM instead... good video and I've subbed bro!

Hey Curious, i have ran into issues with in entry list it says to pack data for data.acd? i packed it and it went into the car folder, do you copy that and drop that into your server car folder? my friends getting checksum failed even though i sent him same cars i have.

Hello, thank you for the guide! However, I’m stuck at this part: My server is stuck at "starting update loop with an update rate of 18hz" for over an hour, and nothing happens. What should I do in this situation? Additionally, I can't choose any vehicles despite explicitly setting cars to either "AI none" or "AI fixed" and enabling AI. Am I missing something? I can see the server, but I’m unable to select any cars. Also time from time when I can't choose the cars I get this error: • Internal error: an error occurred while sending the request. Edit: I found a solution! While all the cars are still grey on my specific server (even though everything works fine on others), I can join by pressing CTRL + G. However, I'm not sure if this will affect AI behavior or other players joining the server.

Hey, thanks for the tutorial. I have a question: I tried to launch the server from content manager directly not the assetto server files in the description and everything seems to work fine in the logs but when I try to connect to the server I have the error message "Can’t load any information: server did not respond in given time.". So I tried your method with files in the description and here it works. Do you have any idea why the native server launcher from content manager is not working? It would be great for automation not having to pack the config and stuff.

@@BeastModeShanx10 Ok I managed to do it myself, hope it will be useful. So all you need to do is going in your assetto corsa folder and you should have the "server" folder. Once you're here rename the file "acServer.exe" to anything you want just not to lose it. Next copy your assetto server files in this folder and rename "AssettoServer.exe" to "acServer.exe". Now you should be abble to start your server directly from content manager with the "run" button

Make sure you allow both ports in your firewall. if thats already done, double check your roater for port forwarding. It may be done incorrectly

@ its the cars ur using. May not be all cars doing it so check and make sure. Some car owners lock the cars so we cant use it in our server which sucks.

Hi, I need help! I used this video to help me set up a server and it worked great...until it didn't! Track: Black Cat #cars:5 Shession: Practice At first I had one car AI=none the other 4-AI=fixed. Sup bro I got everything working the server runs and everything but when my friend tries to join any of my servers he keeps getting a CSP error and he can never load in all the way do you have any suggestions on what he should do? We already tried an updated CSP version 0.2.4

@@nxte.productions9073 in extra cfg there is something called player timeout. Its usually set to 20 or 30 Up the time a we bit more and have him load in. He might not be able to load in as fast as u since its ur server. If the loading time isnt enough, he will get kicked out

@@BeastModeShanx10 actually i am having a problem with the ai. i am able to load the server and everything, but the traffic is not spawning in. when i start the server, i am able to select a traffic car to drive. i have checked everything from the entry list having all the "AI=fixed" to the ai folder being copy and pasted into the shuto_revival_project_beta_ptb folder. any idea what is going on?

Great video but I'm getting a problem opening up the assettoserver.exe: the error is "INI error. Check your server_cfg.ini or entry_list.ini around line 0. @blazs3115 someone else had this issue recently, its the link your joining thats the problem. Joining thru ipv4 will throw that error. What we want is public ip. Whoever running the server needs to send public link to join

@@Rotoaster check ur port forwarding. If they cant see it. Ur probably on a basic server which is LAN only. They wont be able to join unless they are LAN as well. When starting ur server. Does it say server has started?

@ercanesgravato has he ever join any of ur previous servers? If he has tell him to use the old link. Links can be broken. No fix as of yet but old links bring friends to the current server running. Hope that make sense

@@RN_SX looks like the versions may have changed up. I will update that thank u for bringing this to me. This means u have 2 different versions of track and AI. For ai for same version map

@@lstfies2904 no its actually pretty easy, take the car name "Right click on car go to folder" whatever the name of that folder is, copy it Go to ur server Entry list and copy one of the cars u have paste all the way below, change the number for example u have 10 cars. Ur new car will be 11 And remove the name of the car and paste the folder name there. Also in content-car folder. Create folder and paste it there. Nothing is needed inside car folder. Normally its data.acd but u dnt need. Lmk if any issues

@ not all maps have AI traffic folder. So what you can do is. If you like a map, open the folder location. Most times they come with AI folder. If it has it, u can make a server with traffic

Thanks so much for the video, you're awesome! I'm getting this error message; Error during Kunos lobby registration. I've added the port rules on the router and windows firewall but it still doesn't work. As a test I unplugged my ethernet cable and used my wirelss IP address, this way I was able to run the AS app successfully. I could see the server in content manager but when I try to launch it I get a new error "server response is in invalid format". Any help would be really appreciated :)

Just to add to this, i've just run a port checker and the required ports are open. It now says Lobby Registration Successful, I can see the server on content manager! When I try to launch, it says: Internal error: server response is in invalid format. Anyone find a fix for this yet?

However I’ve followed your steps to get AI traffic but even with like 10 AI cars, there’s absolutely 0 traffic. @ no port forwarding is perfect if u and ur friends can join. In the server.cfg It has a bunch of rules u can set on and off. Make sure your traffic is on true. If u cant find it lmk ill give u the exact location
