I have watched most if not all of your awesome videos!!! I saw the comment below my comment saying something about a candle drip anyway it made me think of something that I saw on a dyi the other day. You probably know about this or you do these!? I saw that people make lotion and massage oil candles and I thought you might be interested in doing a dyi on a lotion candle. It’s basically just soy, beeswax, Shea butter and oil with of course fragrance or essential oils. I am going to make a lotion candle this week or next week. Most people do the massage oil candle but I think the lotion candle could serve as both massage and lotion. Anyway the lotion candle dyi was done by Mrs. Soap and Clay if you want to watch it. I’m sure you probably already know about this but l just thought you could do something awesome with maybe the look because you are great at making things look so cute or so classy! Anyway if you do one I will be definitely watching! I hear these candles are very popular and sell fast! I watch dyi’s on a daily basis because I love to get new ideas and because I am slightly color blind it helps me with choosing colors for different projects. Have a good day my fellow Cajun! :)

Dora! HEELLLPPP! I’m trying to perfect making the menthol shower steamers. Is there a way to make them harder? They’re functional, the menthol is perfect but they’re fragile. A few batches I’ve had to rematch bc they’re crumbly and don’t stay together. I’m thinking I need more moisture? Maybe something to firm them up? Sheesh . Tried a puck mold, they wouldn’t stay together. I’ve thought about adding a lil Vicks to see if that helps. Any help would be appreciated. Btw humidity level in my house trying now is about35. I’m afraid to turn on the humidifier 🙄
@CreativeBathLab2 жыл бұрын
Yes- try more moisture & pack that mold as hard as possible (like stand on it). Also, mine were a bit crumbly too- the main thing is to touch them as little as possible right after. I made a little cardboard disc thing then moved it carefully on there, then shrink wrapped them. Otherwise, several of them would crumble the next day when I went in to tough them

Hi dear.. why you use polysorbate 80??
@CreativeBathLab2 жыл бұрын
Polysorbate 80 is an emulsifier. An emulsifier helps oils & powder colorants, like mica, mix in the water. With out it, oils & colors separate, float on top the water, & will likely cause a nasty ring around the tub (instead of mixing in with the water & going down the drain).

@CreativeBathLab2 жыл бұрын
Designs (images, text, flourishes, patterns) - they're all super tricky. The ONLY thing I know to do in this situation is play around with the recipe... I've tried different things like more wet, less wet, etc. & it just depends. FIRST, don't add anything extra, especially like petals, exfoliants, lavender buds, etc. Get the mix as uniform as possible. Next, always make small batches at a time. Lots of times my first few come out then once the mix starts to dry, it's downhill from there.

The type of lavender with botanical name lavendula Augustifolia is highly toxic to those on warfarin, the elderly, pregnant & breast feeding mums and newborns to children of 7yrs. Also pregnant & breast feeding mums can’t have Rose EO, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Fragrance. Lavender with botanical name Lavendula Offisinalls is the Safest (NOW Foods brand)
