Just finished one for my 13 year old granddaughter who loves soccer. Hers is made from a batik in her favorite colors with black pentagons. I used your 2" pattern. Thanks so much for the awesome video and free patterns. You are so generous to share your talents, techniques and positivity with us. I often share your videos with my sewing friends. Thanks again!

I have never enjoyed paper piecing but I will indulge to get a nice, big, squishy indoor soccer ball. I have lots of scraps from a lifetime of sewing. Circumstances have made a born again mom out of this retiree. This ball is perfect for bedtime bouts of ball-in-the-hall with our 4-year old granddaughter. We are making the most of it.

I have a chemist friend who mentioned Buckyballs (cool spherical carbon structures named for Buckminster Fuller.) Looks just like a soccer ball! One of Karen's EPP soccer balls in white with the stitching done in black thread would be a close approximation of a Buckyball and something my friend would appreciate. Thanks, Karen! I really love your videos and your great ideas!!!! My list keeps getting longer and longer and longer....

Thank you for this! I have two new additions to the family that would probably really enjoy a soft indoor ball or two. My mother recently told me that the "stress" balls and hand exerciser that was recommended for her are too difficult for her to use. This is wonderful! I can make her something that can be squeezable for her, and other softies for the toddlers. Amazing!! Thank you, also, for the templates. In this current year, post-pandemic (hah!), I don't have too much that could be considered surplus, except for a stash of fabric. I wasn't looking forward to digging out old drafting templates, so you saved me all kinds of time. Thanks you!

I started a crochet ball but it got so deformed it didn't look well after the kid's played with it. So I am going to make one like you did with leftover cotton fabric and put the crochet on the outside. Thanks you so much. I have been working on this and struggling for a while. I think this will work. Thanks so much for your video. Much Love, Susan

Not a hand stitcher, but this just might be the perfect project. I have some alpaca fleece which is not good enough for wet felting, loathe to discard it, but have been at a loss as to how to use it. It just may be perfect for stuffing a ball - lightbulb moment.
