Thanks. Exactly the info I needed. I'm pulling out my old blender models and preparing them for print. I haven't used blender in a few years.

Can't you just select all and click make manifold?
@PrintThatThing Жыл бұрын
Yes, but it can change your design in unexpected ways. But that does work lots of times

I'm watching this after trying that exact move. It dramatically changed my models

Still waiting on it to check all, but I wanted to say I appreciate your tutorial, I learned another plugin (3d print) was in blender, and I liked that you said the keyboard shortcuts. People who do not know the shortcuts (like me) learn them faster this way.

The problem with blender for me is that there is 19 bazillion ways of doing even the most simplistic thing. It makes learning it VERY hard.

Hey I really like this but what happened to the eyes? Do you just never print them? Or do you fix them up and re add them.
@PrintThatThing Жыл бұрын
We fix them and add them on in a upcoming video

What I did, maybe because I have a newer software than from 2 years ago, is that I went to the 3D Print option on the side that he's been talking about, and there's a section under "Checks" called "Overhang". I clicked that and it gave me the result: "Overhang Face: 44" I clicked on that, and it showed me what he's talking about.

I know this is an old comment, but I figured I'd reply in case anyone else had the same issue. After about 20 minutes of Googling, I finally found where the Mesh Edit Mode had moved to in Blender 4.0.1. On the right of the Overlays icon (and to the left of the X-Ray icon) there is an icon that looks like a square. Clicking on this will bring up the Mesh Edit Mode.
