This video will be a little fast for someone who has no idea about frontend frameworks. but if you keep pausing and coding and keep making progress, you start understand the ideas behind the methods. and the full thing (coding the app for web) can be done in about 2 hours. I learned a bunch of things from this tutorial, like v-if, v-for, @click event triggering, using methods. I think many of the things in Quasar can be directly applied to vue as well, although don't take my word for it. Thank you very much for making this tutorial!

Your basic Quasar app (pages etc) should work offline automatically when you deploy to Android, Cordova, Windows, Mac or Linux, since it stores your HTML, CSS & JS within the app itself and loads these within a webview. Hi Danny.Thanks for your good courses. I have some problems and confuse how to use my custom back-end server that's based on laravel and create api's in it instead of using something like firebase. Where can I ask my quastions?email or website or here?

Thanks Mohammad. I'm not very knowledgable about Laravel. Have you tried using axios to interact with your Laravel api's ( quasar.dev/quasar-cli/ajax-requests#Introduction )? Maybe there are some useful videos on laracasts.com/ ?

Hello Danny.. This is an Awesome Demo on cross-platform-app. Will it works with native components like camera or accelerometer ?

Thanks! Yeah there are Cordova plugins for camera, accelerometer and loads of other native functionality. Usually you can just google "cordova plugin [feature]" to find the best plugins 👍 cordova.apache.org/docs/en/1.9.0/cordova/accelerometer/accelerometer.html

Hey Danny great! video. I'm really looking forward to your PWA video course. I had a question I basically built this entire app and it works well. However, I noticed that this app does not save the data on the tasks after the app is closed. I tried looking online and couldn't find a thing do you have any suggestions?.
@MakeAppswithDanny4 жыл бұрын
You can either use a backend database such as Firebase, MongoDB etc. Or you can store the data locally on the users browser. I've started working on a simple, Offline, Firebase-style database called Localbase that you could use: github.com/dannyconnell/localbase Will be creating a video about this soon. 👍

upon creating the quasar cli. in the part of the question cordova/capacitor id? how will i know what to type in there? is it always com.yourname.filename? is there a format? because I wanna build a website and an android app for it as well. really need your help.
@MakeAppswithDanny4 жыл бұрын
This is just a unique ID to differentiate your app from others. It can be anything you want - but It must be unique. So using that format is one way of ensuring it will be unique. If you submit your app and another app already has that ID, your app will be rejected. 👍

Hi there. Thanks for this video. I have a question, if you can help me: where do I find the icons I can use with q-icon ? Thanks and have a nice day!
@MakeAppswithDanny3 жыл бұрын
Out of the box you can use all of the Material Icons, which you can find here: fonts.google.com/icons?selected=Material+Icons You can also add other icon libraries to the app too. There are links to the available libraries at the top of this page: quasar.dev/vue-components/icon I have a video coming up soon about creating a custom icon library (and reducing your bundle size by 50% - 70% so keep an eye out for that! 👍

I'm having problems with loading an image. In my folder structure, there is no folder called "assets". Instead, I inserted it directly into "layouts" and putting the source like this: src="mountains.jpg". When I click on it, the path is fine. But somehow the image is not loaded into the app. I checked syntax several types and did it exactly like Danny. Anybody, who can help me out? Or somebody having the same issue?
