Thanks for using my soundtrack. Appreciated! I didn't mention in my submission but I used mostly Make Noise Modules. Optomix, Echophon, Erbe-Verbe, Maths. All sounds are using the STO going through a wave shaper with white noise patched into its FM input to make pitched noise. There are thrree tracks (circles, logo, glyphs) manually triggered/ played on Pressure Points. A bit tricky getting synchronization with the animation, but worked out in the end. I hope people enjoy! Strega with QPas sounds great.

the smilepass is actually my favorite thing about QPAS. It brings your harmonics outward in a very pleasing way.

This is the dream setup I’ve been working towards for the past few months. T&MMM + Strega and 0control. Almost there just need to get Qpas and Mimeophon.

Thanks for the beautiful sounds! Feedback patching one of the QPAS outputs back into Strega is fun, too! To reign in the amplitude, Strega's envelope follower and Maths (inversion + offset) can be used to open/close a VCA in the feedback path. In this setup, I suppose Morphagene with an empty reel could serve as VCA using cv over SOS.
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC2 жыл бұрын
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing! ⚡️ We often use a similar technique with the envelope follower output on Erbe-Verb, but hadn't yet thought of doing the same thing with Strega 🎶

Opening that filter at 3:34-3:36 was magical sounding.... (there are lots of other magical points, but that one really stood out...) Sam great job on the opening soundtrack! I loved it! For me less modules, perhaps a few interesting pedals? (I'd love to see Rainbow Machine, Wardenclyffe Deluxe, and/or Karman Line).

I’m to receive my TMMM soon and I own a strega already! What I can say in terms of what I am happy about the twos features together would probably be the oscillator on the strega making up for the lack of explicit oscillators on the TMMM as well as the extra function generator (agitator) and the envelope following CV. Having an explicit 1v/oct input for the pitch is nice two. It might be a strange way of bridging the musical gap between too noisy machines

A little late to the game on this video but it would be awesome if there was a public spot for those patch sheets. It probably exists somewhere already. Anyway, always love the content!

I really like to see 0 coast/strega wiht morphogene. Is it possible to record 0 coast/strega with morphogene then feed it back into the synth and then record the result hence create a loop?

Very cool ideas, particularly with Mimeophon in play as well. I've used the CV out from Morphagene to create pitch and dynamic contours on Strega (attenuated through Maths and perhaps quantized a bit for the pitch CV). Especially with speech samples on the Morphagene, this can create some interesting results.
@mntbighker2 жыл бұрын
I used to grossly under appreciate the CV out from Morphagene ;-)
@ericflesher2 жыл бұрын
@@mntbighker It's pretty cool. (Here's a sample of this from my soundcloud if you're curious: bit.ly/3vD4QcX) I actually use it relatively frequently as a modulation source without using the audio out of the Morphagene. It kind of gives an abstract representation of the original audio, which is kind of there "in essence" without actually being heard. Aesthetically I often prefer music that is not overly literal, so to speak.

Good idea! Something about the rhythm of speech can be so fun regardless of the sound ⚡️⚡️

Great patching ideas! I know you guys have done the 0-Coast into Strega but......how about Strega into the 0-Coast? Feels like a ton of modulation options waiting to be explored, maybe some feedback patching of the audio back into Strega? I can see an approach with the touch plates on Strega giving the 0-Coast much more gestural control over the slope/contour, overtones, balance and multiply (to suggest just a few).

An interesting thing to explore, thanks for the suggestion!

In the manual it says there must be 2 cables connected between 0-Ctrl and whatever it's controlling, but in this and some other demos, I've noticed you using only 1. Is it necessary to connect 2 cables and, if so, why? Many thanks
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC2 жыл бұрын
0-CTRL relies on a solid ground connection between it and the device it is controlling for proper function. When there are occasional issues it can often be traced to the ground connection from a single cable not being strong enough.
@Reprobus32 жыл бұрын
@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC Thank you for your quick reply. I think this might explain a few issues I've occasionally had with mine. Does using the dual power supply prevent this?

Still not tempted (well, not much) by Strega, but I’m starting to think I need a QPAS…
