It sounds like a Predator singing 'black & gold apples on mars' with R2 and BB8. This is QFUN. Can't wait to pick up mine.

I would say this is pretty melodic though, just not traditionally speaking. It's catchy for certain, the last 90 seconds had my head bobbing

Soft and brutal. Exactly as the QPAS

A modular patch that isn't primarily melodic? Outraging. Seriously though, awesome patching!

Once again, an amazing sculpture of sound. When I see these patches, I wonder do you know the modules so well that you know what will happen as you patch.; i.e. you know that if you patch this to that then you'll hear something specific. Or do let the instrument guide the patch; i.e. I wonder what will happen if i do this .... I love my shared system, and I eek out some pieces that i enjoy, but I am old and ignorant, So I tend to do the latter. So I am trying to find an approach that helps me find sounds. Thank you for your time and a glimpse into the possibilities.

Thanks for watching! For me, it is kind of both. With this set of modules I pretty much always know while patching more or less what a given action is going to sound like, but I also usually build patches by feeling them out rather than starting from an end goal. Sometimes a connection takes it in the wrong direction, or adds something that doesn't quite fit in, etc. and I remove it. Sometimes I need to adjust a control just slightly, or switch to a different filter output. Learning the system, for me, has been as much about learning how to intuit these decisions as it is about raw knowledge. -W

MAKEN0ISE , thanks for the reply. You keep on making these videos and I’ll keep on learning. A bit of totally irrelevant information, I have an original copy of Allan Strange’s book that has been referenced here. I bought it at The University of Calgary, probably before you were born. 🤓Take care.

Hey that's very cool! That's one of the best resources you can find anywhere, I'm still learning from it too :)

So, silly question... Will the QPAS be featured in the Shared System at some point? ^_^;;;;
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC5 жыл бұрын
Doubtful. The Shared System is already complete.

@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC Glad to hear, since it'll take a while to save up for the Black & Gold Shared System Plus ^_^ ...Guess that means I'll need to get a skiff as well to "sneak" the QPAS in since I like what it does ^_^

But I have no room in my Make Noise Shared System for this. 😱
