Actually, a friend of mine needed custom-adjusted thongs for her feet and they cost really a lot more then this. So for that 'world' this can be a very nice and well priced product. Don't forget by the way that many people get problems with feet or back because of 'wrong shoes' and many times you end up with much to hot specially made shoes where a pair of custom-sized flipflops like these would be very handy. One of my concerns is just how long they will last in real use.

What may be worth paying for (but not $100) would be some software that would generate an .stl file so you could print your own. The software would let you adjust width, length, arch, etc. but you could then print them in various colors, filament types, etc. You could even customize the strap and even the tread so you could leave a unique footprints. Gee, I'm getting ideas for a really cool product.

A counterpoint to your argument against shoe sizing is that the difference between a size 10 and a size 10.5 is 1/6". That's less than the amount a foot can grow or shrink in length depending on time of day and load. It's not really going to make any appreciable difference if you have a show crafted that is *exactly* the size of your loaded foot because as soon as you take weight off of it it's no longer going to fit perfectly.
