if you take them apart you will find they have an aluminum plate in the back. I thermal pasted the plate to the back of the case then thermal pasted a heat sink on the back side of the controller. Now the fans do not run so often.

I have three of these, They are doing great so far, I mounted them with spacers about an inch off the wall and have an extra fan running on them. I'm testing them with different loads on them. They seem to work best with 2000 watts or lower.

I have a 40A MSB I bought last fall on a 60V array. Very poor tracking if you have any shading at all. Mine will drop down to 17V and not recover unless the panels are disconnected. Had to build a microprocessor to sense panel voltage. If voltage drops to 40V for more than a minute, it disconnects the panels for 30 seconds. Frankly, when I get back to camp I am selling it. Too bad, I like the hardware side of it but the software is crap. I've seen numerous problems. Most people aren't smart enough or spend enough time to notice when it is confused. It had nothing on my home built charge controllers. This is just not a company ready for prime time.

I have the same charge controllers instruction booklet says it does multiples of a single battery voltage but mine show the actual voltage of all 4 batteries together and also those connectors are so so small but they do give you two of them and you need to use both of them or your wire is going to be too small for the amperage going to have a hot wire don't want that burn your house down

I max my 30amp make sky blue charge contoller out. 80v at 36 amps. It's been running like that for over a yr. Only issue I have is the fan is starting to get loud and I will need to change it out. Maybe your sales rep could help me out?

Powerjack inverter turned on with 1000 load connected, shut down with a continuous beep!! This is the SECOND TIME, first time it cost $100 for a new main board... Cant recomend ANYTHING by powerjack anymore sadly. All it does is turn on for 2 seconds then shuts off with the fan on And continuous beep. Its an 8000 wtt dual phase.... They are simply NOT dependable.

Only when they get warm or when your supply is higher then the demand and they run more offten.

@@terryswallace he may have the inverter fans on in the video and that's probably the lound fan noise. The charge controller fans are not that lound a they are only like a 2 inch fan. Mines just starting to get loud after a yr of bing in a dusty desert climate.
