The European Union has set a goal of at least 30 GW European solar manufacturing, at each stage of the value chain, by 2030. By 2025, we need to have secured that 30 GW project pipeline. Right now, however, European solar manufacturers are facing a crisis, and need urgent support.
SolarPower Europe's Deputy CEO Dries Acke visited SMA Solar Technology's inverter manufacturing facility in Germany, to discuss with Katharina Eickelberg, Senior Vice President Communication & Sustainability, about the key challenges facing the industry and what EU policy makers can do to support.
