Sweet, easily batched project David! Love the video transition using the middle hole. Great point too about not offering too many choices. One step to maybe streamline the ripping - rip the first outermost piece, flip the board over, rip the other outside piece, then move fence to rip the middle piece (saves one fence move). - Jim

@offsuit576 жыл бұрын
When you cut the board into strips, instead of changing the fence, make the first cut and then flip the piece over. You will still keep the grain pattern. You are changing bits, and settings often. Drill all the holes for one bit first, then change. After gluing all the strips together and planing them, cut to length on miter saw they would be easier to handle.
@MakeSomething6 жыл бұрын
Cant flip the piece over because only one side of the board is jointed. The other side is rough from the saw mill. To do so would be an extra cut. Other tips are great and is what I normally do but for the sake of video...

@@davidnleeh4 I like to flood the surface with a foam brush or rag, come back in 15 minutes and wipe off the excess with a rag. Repeat in 24 hours for 3 to 5 days. There are quicker finishes but this is flawless and protective.
