i never realized how similar blushes can look on the skin until you showed photos of you wearing 20 of them. on the arm they look so different but in the pictures i could tell warm vs cool, shimmery vs matte but several of them look identical on the face despite looking totally different on your arm. great video, as always. your video showed the importance of functional dupes (products that look the same on the face) vs traditional dupes (colours that look the same on the arm)

blush colour can be so indiscernible when actually applied to the cheeks! especially compared to swatches - i think a factor is definitely how much you apply. swatches are usually very heavy handed, but you would never actually apply the same amount to the face, so it all comes out the same. but at least the formulations / finishes are different-hahaha that's how i justify 29 blushes 😄 thank you for watching! 💕

even if they look similar applied, if they make you happy then all the more reason to really thoroughly enjoy the heck out of them. based on your love of clinique and hourglass blushes, you'd probably like the surratt formula. annoyingly non-magnetized pans and eye wateringly expensive - they're a real joy to use and i love the complex colours.

I know! I love the look of Taj Mahal when I wear it, but I only wear it 1x a year 🙈 don’t know why. I used to wear it a lot more when I was more tan (like an NC42) but I just don’t reach for it anymore.

I am really enjoying your declutter 2018 series, especially this blush episode! I followed your blush a day on Instagram and ended up buying both hourglass blushes. They are absolutely gorgeous colors in a lovely formula. I used tarte blushes for a long time but recently decluttered them. The hourglass formula is much nicer imo. I recently picked up two Essence blushes in the colors satin coral and satin love (when I picked up the essence gimme brow you talk about) and I’m not joking when I say they are fantastic everyday blushes for $3 a pop. They are not hourglass, but will be mainstays in my (small) collection now. Looking forward to your next video!

I usually do a weekly makeup “bag” where I pull a base, blush, highlighter, bronzer etc from my collection to wear for the week and I switch it up every week. It’s fun to shop my stash 😊💕
