MAKEUP DECLUTTER 2017: HIGHLIGHTERS

Thank you so much for watching! :) To answer some of the FAQ on my decluttering videos... -Why are you decluttering your makeup? Isn’t this wasteful? As a beauty vlogger, makeup is added to my collection daily! I can’t possibly use it all before it expires. I like to go through and make sure that I am not just holding onto products for the sake of having them. I try to make sure that I use and enjoy each product in my collection. Whenever I find that I am not using a product very often or I just don’t like it anymore, I declutter it. -What do you do with the products you declutter? I throw away old and expired products. I give my family new or used products that are in good shape. Unfortunately, I don’t like to give these away on my channel because of sanitary reasons. I also try to donate new and unopened products. -Will you be holding a blog or Instagram sale? I don't like to sell used products because of sanitary reasons. To be honest, I also hate standing in line at the post office haha. I've also received many of my products from companies as gifts, so I prefer not to sell them. Thanks for understanding! :)

I love highlighting just because I have such dry skin that it really helps my skin look healthier and glowy. I stick to Becca for highlights. Their formula is the only one that doesn't empathize the texture on my cheeks. I've tried some other brands but I always come back to Becca.

I'm pretty pale-ish and I use the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick as individual shades. During the summer I can use the darker colors but mostly I stick with the white and rose color at the top😌

I've only just recently added highlighting to my "routine" - I'm a bit older than most of your audience though. ;) I definitely don't do it in an "every day" look but it's fun for when I'm going out. I just got the Becca liquid highlighter in my Sephora Play box and I really like it - much more subtle shimmer that's more my style. I do love Champagne Pop too!

on a scale from 1-10, I would say highlighting is probably an 8 or 9. blush concealer and mascara are kind of a must have for me and I love lippies...what am I saying I love everything!!!! though in the summer I just wear mascara

If you come across the Hard Candy matte eye-shadow pro palette grab it! I've not really gotten into the brand but the colors were so pretty! It is really good! I'm thinking about trying more of the brand.

Colourpop recommends you keep their cream products tightly closed as much as possible, replace lid quickly when using. I got 1 of their cream highlighters & a few shadows, & I hate the formula. I never use them. I am just much more a fan of powders, I am glad they finally made pressed powder shadows.

Highlighting is pretty important but I like the more subtle highlights. I use a bob cream and do strobing and it makes my dry mature skin look so youthful.

So i recently tried this out on one of my colour pop shadows..if it feels like it is drying out, use about 2 drops of inglot duraline and swirl it around... it's good as new and actually more pigmented.

QOTD: I never highlight! I only own a couple highlighters and only because I got them in my ipsy bag. I have super oily skin so I don't like any sort of glow on my face, maybe only a light shimmer blush. I love these videos thank you so much for filming!

Oh no!!! You decluttered my favorite Elf Illuminating palette!!! But you're right, my skin tone is darker and I think it looks amazing on my skin. I have not bought any other highlighters except that one, the elf baker highlighters and the sweet Peach one because I'm so in love with that palette. Oh wait I have the CP one that came in the Hello Kitty set but I never used it. I had a girl at work tell me that only I could rock highlights in the middle of the week, so I guess it was a compliment. Love ya 😘

I'm the exact same, I'm not a huge fan of Highlighting but I have way too many. I'm just oily and sometimes Highlighting just really makes the texture on your face stand out. But they are so pretty and I keep buying them... you did a great job though.

Hard Candy: try the coconut water hydrating mist primer. I have extremely oily skin but hate when my skin looks super matte so I mist my face before foundation application and after applying all my makeup. The mist is so fine and feels so nice. It does a great job of making your skin look more like skin without increasing shininess. I have to blot three hours later with or without the spray just because I'm an oil slick.

I think you did amazing you and I have similar highlighters taste,that Laura geller one that has the pretty texture I regret so much not grabbing it ,I remeber it came in a kit with a few more items and a pretty lavender or pinkish bag I also wanted to ask you if you have enough Laura geller products to do a full face using the brand,Lara Geller is so under rated and she has amazing hidden jewels ,that would be deff be fun to watch 😘

I have "Lunch money" and "Wisp" from Colourpop and I love them. They're so pretty! 🙂 I heard another KZbinr say that essence is discontinuing their pure nude highlighter. Idk why but I'm glad I have one! I love that it's a non shimmery, subtle highlighter. I hope they bring it back (if that's true)! It's so beautiful and very popular so I don't understand why they'd discontinue it. 😓😓😓

I love hard candy's fast and fabulous products. I believe that's what it's called. I have their setting spray and pressed translucent powder and I love them so much! They work great for my oily skin. If you're ever looking for a new setting powder/spray check out hard candy!

I have the opposite problem. I only have 9 highlighters. I have four Wet n Wild ones, one e.l.f one, and one that's part of a Hard Candy trio. I also have 3 liquid highlighters- an e.l.f. one and two NYX ones. Yeah, none of them are high end. I wish there was a Sephora or something in my town. Anyway, I love highlighter decluttering videos. There are always so many pretty highlighters. I love seeing pretty highlighters. So pretty and shiny! Is that weird? I'd like to think that a fascination with highlighters isn't all that weird.
