FINALLY someone acknowledges that the essence pure nude highlighter can look very dry!! It emphasizes texture and can be chalky and hard to pick up on the brush. I still use mine but I apply it with my fingers.

Ahhh yes! I feel like highlighters have come a long way and I prefer for them to almost melt into the skin. That's a good suggestion to try applying it with your fingers!

@@AndreaMatillano i find that baked formulas are awesome for applying with your fingers!! I do it all the time for shadows as one and dones. This was the one way I could make the highlighter work for me.

I really like the fact that you only hold onto products that you actually use....not keeping products because you are an influencer, an you "might" need one to compare to another one. One thing I’ve done with products that I love the packaging but hate or no longer use the product, is that I’ll depot the product, clean it all out, and then stick down magnet paper in it and use that beautiful compact as a place to put in singles. The magnet paper is fairly cheep at Michaels or I’m sure you could get it from amazon. My most used basic shades are now in what used to be a huge makeup revolution highlighter!!

Heyy love your videos! for the packaging issue you can scrap the expired product out of the component and keep the beautiful packaging. throw them in your purse since they have a mirror they will come in handy and you will repurpose them 😁

I swear by the Catrice baked bronzer, and I always lay down a base of Kokie liquid highlighter under every powder highlighter. They both give a natural glow to the skin, like you had the best night's sleep & drank a ton of water.

Oh man those Smashbox highlights are stunning! You should either use them as a decoration or depot the highlights and put something else n there. Please don’t throw them away! I have one of those Colourpop highlighters l use as a blush topper. The packaging couldn't be worse, l can never open it, its hard to store & looks cheap. I use it rarely like you for this reason despite the product inside being really pretty ❤

I love applying Highlighter to the lids for a beautiful shimmer to finish off my eye look! You can do that with the LYS one - it looks like it would be a pretty light gold!

Eekkk! Decluttering Highlighters My favorite part. I don’t Declutter them. -Unless their smell. ( If I get them for Dollar Tree or Ross) Here in the Midwest, some things expired way pass dates. That’s a thing to keep in mind 🥰 I Revamped them ( only Pressed ) Sometimes I mix them with eyeshadows as well. I love your Decluttering Series. I need to Declutter my Sponges.

My favorite matte bronzer is still the too faced chocolate soleil. The shade is just perfect! And my favorite shimmer bronzer is the Hoola glow bronzer.

I started using the elf bronzer in forever sunkissed. I love it. Blended easily on my fair complexion and gave me a nice glow. Ofra bronzers are nice too for a higher end bronzer/blush/highlighter etc

I have a couple Ilamasque highlighters that I got on sale (Deity and OMG, I think) and they are GORGEOUS. We’re a similar skin tone, so I bet one of those would suit you beautifully.

My go to is the Nabla skin bronzing powder, that would be my rec! It's a more glowy, baked bronzer and you need to use a denser brush to pick it up. My favorite matte bronzer was discontinued, we have that in common.

I have never really found a go to bronzer (or blush and highlighter) right now I have a deluxe sample from RealHer that I received in my Ipsy bag a few months ago. I haven’t bought any bronzer, blush, or highlighter in a long time because of Ipsy. I agree with you with Colourpop packaging I had one of them a while ago and I hated it because I had a hard time opening it and took up too much room.

Becca cpop highlighter and undereye correctors are still available under smashbox website... Rn only cpop is available but I'm their original post about this announcement, they showed 5 shades incl. Opal but that they would start with cpop....so my guess is they will bring back opal... personally i find opal had a better feel to it than cpop....could be just me tho😅

I loved the Elf bronzer but I ran out of that within 4 months. I couldn't justify spending 50 euros on the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer (which is my favourite), so I decided to try the Revolution glow splendour bronzer. It's really good! A great shade range and you get a ton of product for the price tag.

I don't know if I have a go-to bronzer. I have the Butter Bronzer which I like a lot. I also have the Juvia's Place duo bronzer which is also nice. I like that they have a warm and cool tone option in there.

Colourpop supershock highlighter in Wisp is a great dupe for Becca's Opal! It's a different formula but I think the only difference might be that Wisp is a bit more intense/brighter. Your declutters are so satisfying to watch and thank you for showing us the products

The Buxom White Russian highlighter is one of my favorites too! I don’t wear it too terribly often because it has the pink reflect to it, but it is the only more pink toned highlighter in my collection. I’m with you, they need to release more colors!!! I keep waiting for it, too!!! Also, I want so badly to be able to get my hands on the Makeup by Mario bronzer stick in Light! I’m in love with the Rare Beauty Cream bronzer stick in Power Boost and the Elf Putty Bronzer in Honey Drip. I’ve been a HUGE cream fan recently!

I remember the smashbox vlada packaging stood out to me too but none of the highlighter colours appealed to me so I didn't get it. I did a recent video on how to dupe packaging (I did it for the pat mcgrath bridgerton palette) and in that video I also found such a good dupe for the vlada packaging, I'm excited to have a palette with metallic 3D rose packaging that I can put in custom magnetic blush/eyeshadow/highlighter pans 😍😍😍

I used to dislike the essence pure nude highlighter because kathleenlights raved about it. Overtime, I used it again and for some reason it looked nice on my skin. The reason I didn’t like it because it looked like a pink streak on my face. Maybe the top layer of highlighter made it look bad because now it’s not as pink anymore. Now, it’s my go to highlighter to go anywhere.

I actually got a “sample” from smashbox Of a Becca highlighter and it ended up being one of the travel minis of Opal. Not sure why I got that vs champagne pop but I guess that might mean they are coming out with it?

Loving these videos ! I thought I knew about makeup but I’m learning so much . How can you tell when a makeup expires ? I have more eye palettes than anything else but I’m always curious about this

On the back of all makeup products there is a little symbol that looks like a jar and it will have the expiration date! It will say something like “6m” which means it expires after six months.

There’s a few ways to tell! Off smell, change of colour, change of texture, and change of performance. Powder products typically last a lot longer than creams. I don’t pay attention to the date they give you on the back because that’s more so for the company to protect themselves in the off chance something goes wrong and you try to sue them. Like there’s no way most people can finish a palette in 6 months or even a year and there’s no way I’m throwing mine out after that date either. There are products I’ve owned for years and years and they still perform the same as the day I bought them :D

I'm glad that you are giving the makeup to loved ones. Makeup, even affordable/drug store brands, can get expensive so it hurts my soul to see perfectly good products get thrown away. It's like even if you've got the type of dough to be able to toss makeup you don't want, it's so wasteful and kinda like show off-y. Thanks for not being a wasteful show off! Ugh if you are going to throw away the make up you keep for the packaging you should try to find away to disassemble the packaging to use the part you are keeping for decor. Those smashbox pallets would be cool to just glue shut and put a 3m wall sticky on the back and hang on a wall in a beauty room.

It is pretty packaging but at this point in my life I just don't want to have extra clutter around my room! I'm not big on decor. It's a little boring but my house is pretty minimalistic!
