If I did not already own her whole line (except the mascara), there is no way I would shell out the $$$$ for it. I have the foundation in bottle form too and it is just beautiful! You are bang on re:drier skin really looking good after application. I always twist with the product end pointing down; and, I have not had the same issues that you had to endure( extra points to you for persistence)! I will say though, the eye-liner is a gamble:sometimes you get loads of product and others, very little. Also, I notice with my eye-liner that the brush is not always my friend-sometimes it is brilliant, others sh*t! Because it is At the higher price end, it should be consistent. I hope you took the eye-shadow pen back! What a PITA! Ellis Faas looks gorgeous on you! This brand does deserve credit because it is very easy to take on holiday or work for day/evening transition. I, also, bought one of the glow powders which does make for a good highlighter! Thank you for a great review!

One thing I would say though, which is something that always seems to work for me when I have a wind up product, try facing it downwards, like the brush end that dispenses the product and twist it x because I find it just helps with the flow yano x but hold it over a desk or something just incase it spills out everywhere x hope this helps xxxxxx

I brought the Ellis Faas make-up holder and pens about a month ago and I love this product!! I also have the same issue as you with the liquid coming out of the pens when using the products for application. However I have a few tips, after each use wipe the brush down with a tissue so the product doesn't dry on the brush, which prevents the liquid from becoming blocked, before applying roll the pens in between your hands for a few seconds to loosen the liquid and instead of holding the brush facing you, point the brush down so the liquid drains towards the brush. Hope these tips help!!

I have the concealer pen and i was warned by the salesperson at Mecca that i would have to twist it a LOT initially to get it to come out. Truth. I think this will probably happen to all EF pen products at the start. Now, to prevent a lot of it coming out, i separate the brush hair a bit and twist once or twice, then i wait a second until i see the hair moving - that's the liquid slowly oozing out. This helps to prevent any unwanted explosions! The packaging still does annoy me sometimes, but i'll agree that the product is really good!

i think the blush really is pretty when you use just a teeny tiny drop at each cheek and then blend it out, in the camera it looks like it is a very dark red. I think this is very pretty on tanned skin :)

If the gravity thing was even a valid argument none of the others would have worked at all either so. And at points you can see she wasn't only holding it upright. I honestly believe it was the fault of the canister mechanism or formula. You shouldn't have to be a rocket scientist to get makeup products to work.

I think the eye shadow wasn't coming out because you were holding the pencil incorrectly, you should try it again holding the brush side down and the thing that you turn should be up
