Makeup Room Tour + YouTube Filming Setup

I am in the process of reorganizing my makeup storage right now! This was helpful. I don't have a space for a desk and drawers but I'm using a bookshelf and I have all kinds of acrylic containers and those sterilite 3 drawer things and a six cube shelf. I may put the 3 drawers in the cube like you did. One day I will have a room like yours!

Everything is so nice! I loved watching your makeup room tour. I don't sell jewelry but love the jewelry organization. I have quite a collection myself and in the process of finding the best way in an extra bedroom antique dresser to organize it. One challenge is statement necklaces and I might take a few and put them on display like this. Very nice!

I have a very similar set up including the sterilite drawers underneath my vanity. Most of my furniture is black so what I did to hide the contents of the sterilite drawers was cut out pieces of black paper...more like card stock and taped the pieces on the inside...it totally works. Just thought I'd share : )

Amazing set up. I really love the light set. I'm using the umbrella studio lights from amazon and they take up so much room and I only have a small area to record in so i feel like my head is crammed between 2 umbrellas. Thanks for sharing. I got some ideas for my small space.

Love your videos!!! I have 2 questions about your mirror...1. does it stay upright and sturdy, free standing or does it need a wall behind it to anchor to? 2. does it give off enough light by itself to do makeup?

Hey hey! Yes the mirror is free standing table top mirror and doesn't need anything to help it stay up. I think you can take off the table top stand and mount it to the wall if you want to. I don't get a lot of natural day light in my basement where my makeup room so I depend on the mirror for good light. I also use the ceiling light but I'd say the mirror lights are very strong. I've had that mirror for close to 3 years now and am happy with my investment!

Beautiful set up, yess to the makeuo collection vid plz!!! I have the same 5 alex drawers with the linnmon tabletop and have been wanting to place another drawer beneath in the center gap. Would you say that an Alex 6 drawer fits perfectly under the center space?? I have really been debating on it since i am crammed into a small bedroom! i would definitely appreciate a response! They're both amazing quality and hold up well. It just depends on the size you want. I like the deeper drawers in the beauty box for bigger things but then again the slim drawers of the muji are nice too. It really just depends on your needs. The beauty box is definitely bigger and holds more than one muji

Marinet's beauty channel sorry! I was pregnant when filming this and was super out of breath and breathing heavily so I had to do a lot of editing around it. I know people would complain if they could hear my heavy breathing lol hopefully my next one will be better!

To make the plastic draws real pretty cut some cute wallpaper to size and stick it inside on the front of the draws. I do it with all mine, looks so much better.. (I mean the draws you don't like under your desk) 😁 luv from the uk 🇬🇧

Hi Sarah. Love the video! Can I ask if you've had any issues with having the Ikea Linmon table cut since I read that the inside is not solid? I want it cut like yours but I'm worried about it not supporting the weigh of the mirror that I plan on buying, which will weigh a lot like 50-70lbs. Would really appreciate your advice. Thanks!

+Silen B hey! I've had my linmon table top cut like this for well over 3 plus years and haven't had any issues at all. I've always had my vanity girl mirror and loads of makeup on top and it is just fine. If you're really concerned just add a leg in the middle or middle back of the table to add some support but honestly mine has been just fine. You can get legs for about $4 or $5 at IKEA. Let me know if you have more questions or if there's anything else I can do my best to help you with 😘

If you need a lighted mirror and don't want to mount it to the wall I highly recommend the vanity girl mirror. I've had mine for coming up on 3 years and love it. I'm constantly switching up my setup and love that I don't have to commit to a specific wall mount and can just use the murrow where ever I have my vanity table

+Theresa B. Hi Theresa thank you! I sold The kallax cube system to one of my friends daughter. She loved it so much! I liked it ok but honestly things got lost in all the cubes. I'd open drawer after drawer and couldn't find what I needed right away. I mean it wasn't the end of the world lol but it wasn't the best storage system for me. I much prefer something with larger drawers that I can just open one and see more and grab what I need. The Alex drawers have worked great but if you have a lot of makeup - you need more Alex drawers. At this point in my life I'm trying to live with less - only the things I absolutely love. So I've been decluttering and keeping a smaller amount of makeup. At some point my goal is to switch back to a smaller traditional vanity where I don't have or need ample storage. I hope my long ramble was somewhat helpful! Please let me know if you have more questions or if there's anything I can try to help you with.
