I love me some makeup but sometimes I'm aware that I am a victim to over-consumption and it's not something I want to continuously promote. So.... Great video! That CT palette is very versatile. Other products I would recommend for makeup beginners are a sunscreen (at least SPF 30), a cleansing product (balm or foam), and some micellar water. All of these can be found at a pretty affordable price, in both Western and Asian skincare brands

Absolutely agree!!! Yes those are amazing recommendations to have in your routine although I would count them as skincare- but definitely SPF and makeup removers are must haves. What are some of your favourites?

@@ElisaYH The reason why I mentioned them is because when I was new to K-beauty, I used an Etude House mascara and I only had miscellar water at the time, and I could not get the dang stuff off my lashes!!! And since sunscreen is very important to wear during the day time, people tend to use it under their makeup, so it's important to get one that works with your skin type and also sits nice under makeup. And cleansing products help to remove both sunscreen and makeup. I'm currently using Western brands for these products, but thinking to pick up a K-beauty cleansing oil and foam soon. I have used the Banila Co Clan It Zero cleansing balm in the past, but thinking to try something different. Do you have any favourites that you would recommend? :)

@@pearlite6243 It's funny you mentioned the Etude House mascara because that's the one I'm using right now and I totally agree- it's a difficult one to remove! I'm currently using the numbuzin 1 and 2 cleanser kit that I bought on a whim and it's doing a great job! Normally at home I use the klairs gentle black deep cleansing oil :) I think you made a great point and for the future I'm going to include remover and sunscreen for makeup routines too! I tried to find the link for what I bought: global.oliveyoung.com/if/rd?su=ICV3I2HX tbh I bought this because I was travelling and ran out of my travel cleansers so I ran to oliveyoung to pick up something on sale haha

@@ElisaYH Haha yeah that mascara has good hold! A little too good maybe! Thanks for recommendation :) I've heard good things about numbuzin but haven't tried anything from them yet
