It's amazing how many drugstore products actually are good. Some of my favorites: Cover Girl, Maybelline, L'Oreal. and Revlon mascaras. I'm currently using the Cover Girl Lash Plumping mascara. It's a good everyday mascara. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream: tinted moisturizer: Unscented and no alcohol and works well on my very dry skin. L'Oreal True Match Blush: My color is Baby Blossom (pale pink), but there are several other colors. Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick: unscented and unflavored, yay! NYX single eye shadows. Stiletto is an excellent matte light brown.

Drugstore is ridiculous now. Needed a mascara touch up on the fly and any decent option was 10-12 which is stupid for something I didn’t even need. Love lots of essence stuff even against high end, so I’m here for this one. ❤

I was so pumped to see this in my subscription box! You’re the best. So many of the Essence products I love and use daily are in my collection because of you. Also love the Pretty Natural foundation, Pure Nude highlighter and those powder blushes. I have to say, I own the brow ink and I use it with a spoolie, like a gel - and it’s AMAZING. Holds my brows in place like no other, and provides great colour, lasts all day. I have the shade Ash Brown, awesome cool-toned option for dark brunettes.

Essence blushes are some of the best blushes out there and they are so long-lasting too, especially for a drugstore brand. My favorite shade is Believing as it's a beautiful pinky mauve without it being too purple or brown and I've been really into mauves lately. I'm also very fond of their Salut Paris eyeshadow palette. It's perfect for fair-skinned folks like me.

I can't remember if you've used Profusion, but they have some amazing 5 dollar palettes, liquid blushes, and more. They're a super underrated brand so would definitely add to the list of brands that are affordable.

the prices of makeup and skincare are absolutely bonkers right now. Essence is such a nice brand. I have some favourites: lash princess mascaras (purple and green), clear lip gloss, retractable eye liners (underrated imo) and the nail polishes! need to try more...I am just not the biggest fan of the packaging hahah

Only reason Ive stayed away from Essence so far is cuz the mascaras and glosses are never sealed and they are always at toddler eye level at Ulta 😑 I mean who buys a mascara in store that's not sealed up, right?🤦🏻‍♀️

I've tried the ELF primer but didn't like it so I just stuck to my regular Aloe Vera gel. Works like a charm & much cheaper for more. Their banana powder is amazing! Better than high end & works whether I'm tan or ghostly

I actually LOVE LOVE LOVE the brow product. For someone who does high intrnsity workout and sweats like crazy (sweats gets in my eyes even if I wear bandana to cover forehead sweat), this product does the work. I pat my sweat with towel and nothing comes off. My brows look perfect even after 1,5 hour of sport!

Although I know I’m old enough to have adult children, I still get a little jolt when I see comments like this…since we chose not to have children, I sometimes think about what it would be like to have a girl specifically (mainly because I know how much I put my mom through! Haha!) because the memories I have of the things in my mom’s purse were from the 70’s/80’s so to read what you wrote knowing that you could be my kid and to think about what my kid would have memories of that were in my purse made me think about my life in the 90’s, the makeup I was wearing, getting ready to go out to see bands like Soundgarden, Nirvana, etc…I know you’re probably thinking that this is the most random comment, but I rarely comment on anything and I just had to thank you for unintentionally taking me down a crazy trip of ‘what if’s’ as well as triggering some awesome memories!

That is my favorite foundation. I wear it every day. It never breaks me out and actually looks really natural. A brush is the only way to go, and I have to do it in small sections only as it dries quickly.

I was so surprised you didn't like the concealer - it's one of my favourite products of all time, Essence or not! I find that it melts so wonderfully on the skin, and I don't think it creases at all. I guess it's because I have more of an oily type of skin? Anyway, loved the video as usual ❤️

I have the coffee palette and I dug one of the balls out of the clear gloss with a toothpick. I smashed it on my hand to swatch and it’s a pretty reddish copper shade. The issue was that it stays balmy for quite a while and as I have hooded eyes, it wanted to move around & transfer onto my upper crease area for a while. I think if I used it again, I would keep my eye closed after applying , spray some setting spray on it and fan it dry. I also have the illumination palette in the lighter shade (01 I think) and I love it as a glowy nude peachy blush and highlight. I’ve really been liking their new releases this year!

I tried the waterproof and the purple version and both smudged and transferred to my under eye. I do really love their lip liners!!!

That foundation looks beautiful on you. I’m def gonna try it. Their blush is my fave. I have oily skin and most blushes melt off my skin after some time. Essence last sooo long. Fun Fact: The Essence pure nude highlighter is an EXACT dupe for the It Cosmetics Hello Cheekbones highlighter in the light version. I have both and I LOVE the It Cosmetics palette but it's discontinued. At least this way I can still have my favorite highlighter shade!! Also, that gloss topper is the same thing Huda has done in her Rose Quartz palette. It works GREAT as a base for foils.

Oohhhh! I had to try the essence 16hr wear based on what people are saying and it’s silicone free (yay). I had no idea what shade to order so when it arrived I had to test it out even though I wasn’t wearing any makeup. I don’t know if I’ve ever work powder foundation by itself, but this stuff works so nicely alone and plays well with 2 different kinds of foundation I’ve tried with it so far. Just had to come here to say that. I really don’t think you can go wrong with it!
