There is also a possibility that he cut up and prepared the bits that he didn't use and fed them to people. People said he always had deer meat that he gave out as extra from hunting. After he was arrested, people thought about it and couldn't remember ever seeing him out hunting, just that he had this meat... Most of the town had accepted and eaten it too...
