Give them a reality check. But none of us know. I know in my case, I just did what my family told me was best. At the same time you learn how robots work, PLC, pneumatic systems, hydraulic, conveyor, welding, fabricating, all sorts of sensors, motors, and pumps. Great successful lady with a great attitude. People don't realize how well skilled trades pay. The country needs more electricians, plumbers etc. with an aging population and too many young people trying to make a living off Instagram. You try and tell a kid these days they have to get up for work at 3am! Great work ethic Vernica.

A 'manual trades' qualification is a way to earn good money. In my country, there are plumbers who are earning £100,000 a year and people are leaving their current job to retain into a high paying trade.

I wish I had gone down the road to become a master electrician out of high school. I spent 9 years becoming a pharmacist and I'd trade it in a heartbeat.
