These 3D glasses are designed to be used in radio controlled aircrafts, to achieve the most realistic fov from the air. They will be combined to a 7 axis arm, so you can look all around you realisticly.

I’m glad you called them 3D glasses instead of a VR headset since most people get them confused and end up calling homemade mobile “vr” stuff like “SUPER CLEAR VR HEADSET” when in reality it’s just a screen on your face that lets you look around a bit meaning it’s more 3D glasses than vr also this is quite high quality great job

This is the type of video you really actually need to watch and not skip through and expect to understand. I appreciate the time and effort put into this I have to try to fit a lot of information into one video on my channel too. Don't be discouraged by the haters. :)

With the help of big and sharp scissor you can cut the glass very easily, just take a bucket water and cut the glass with the scissor under the water. the hand, glass and scissor should be fully immersed into the water.

actually this is quite complex, you'll need a software to project images on each display. the easiest way to achieve wide fov is simply using a very good lenses with high display density such as retina display.

A QUESTION: I want a pair of goggles that accomplish the goals that you set for these (clarity, FOV, and 1:1 view relationship). And I need them to take a direct A/V input (from auxiliary cameras) like yours do. But I simply want to buy them (rather than make them). So, what goggles would you recommend? (Feel free to shoot me a range of choices so I can check them out, please.) Thanks!
@luciduous
@luciduous 9 жыл бұрын
Great start! Check your angles though. Measure the distance from each eye through the mirror to each corner of the lcd. (hint hint, every thing should be 60 degrees angles, otherwise your eyes are converging at different distances). I've pioneered this approach at real3dfpv.com , Your using front surface mirrors, right? And yes, 8" is my preferred lcd size to use. Just be triple sure that they are fpv friendly (no blue screen at weak signals). You'll need a counterweight with the larger screen size, I use the battery pack with other electronics. Good luck, and I know you'll enjoy the results. It can be considered a pseudo HD HMD due to the double transmission resolution to your eyes!

Fantastic! I have a pile of parts on my desk I was planning on making "the standard diy fpv" goggles but was running into the problem of either having the screen 7 to 8 inches away from my face (huge box) or closer and having to strain my eyes as if I was looking at the end of my nose (cross eyed). Your system solves that beautifully. Have you done any more work on this system? Also a question about the lenses you used. Size? Strength? Where to purchase? Thank you!

Dear CNC Flake, Can you please list in the description of this video the uses for these 3D glasses, and the ballpark cost. I was looking up 3D movie viewing and have no idea what your fine project will yield, nor the cost, and that doesn't seem to be part of the video AFAIK... Thanks for a great video that so many have given a thumbs up. I think that because this video is suggested to so many that are looking on KZbin for 3D movie watching,etc, that if you provide a description of what you are making, it's application and ballpark cost, you will have tremendously higher success!

Well done, we discussed this solution with some friends, a few days ago, and here you are with the solution.... We have ad-hoc adapted an HK Google today, and looking at your custom solution; here we go 3D home made with quite an amazing quality of screen... Really impressed.... Would you mind sharing where you got the lenses, and also, if I may, whether you would be OK to share the ACAd 2D or 3D lenses holders? I should be able to 3D print them in that case, and replicate your design! Really impressed, thanks for sharing, and as always Safe Flying! Tks for keeping in touch! Cheers ;)
