I love that colour. I'd be really interested to hear this guitar when it is completed.

I like Createx for color coats and some metallic colors. Their Autoborne Sealers work pretty well also. The silver sealer is good as a small metal flake under candies.

I'm curious to see how rigid the neck is with the carbon fiber inserts. Will it be stable in all temps and hold tuning better than wood? Great project. Thanks for doing this series!

Hey Chris, I was curious what your thoyhy process was regarding thinning your clear with (what appeared to be) water VS retarder? If I'm mistaken, I'm curious what you used? Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I use distilled water to thin my water-based finishes. I find that using retarder causes the finish to clump.

@HighlineGuitars thanks for the answer, I'll have to give it a try myself. Been pretty much using nothing but Crystalac for a couple years now!

Hey, I know! A lot of woodturners use CA glue for a finish. Just a thought.🤣

I tried it once. Never again!

Please - get better lighting, it is pretty cheap to get a couple of decent video lights. It will improve the look of your videos immensely and match the quality of your content.

@@fstedie I have studio lights, but sometimes I get too busy to bother with them.
