MAKING A BANANA PUDDING CHEESECAKE CAKE!

I made this cake for my boyfriend’s birthday 2 days ago. I don’t usually even eat banana pudding like that, but this cake is extremely delicious! My boyfriend liked it and all my nieces, nephew, mom and sister loved it. I’m eating it right now and it’s still very moist and fresh. Since you didn’t have icing video, I used the whipped icing from Lisa’s Food Addiction banana cheesecake cake video. The custard was surprisingly easy, those 15-20 mins flew by and I was so proud, I felt like big mama. Only thing I will do different next time is make it in a sheet pan so I could make or cut it into cake square/petit four type shape, because it’s a lot of cake to eat if you cut off a round cake. I’ve been eating off the same 1 and a half slices since the other day, my family actually tasted off this same slice. 😂 It definitely feeds a lot! Thanks for the recipe! Also, I used 8” pans, so it was tall. And I did not use wax paper because I was scared, so I used parchment paper and greased it.

I thought for custard you have to temper the eggs before adding them to the rest of the custard

You can do that also. Tempering is a safe way to add in the eggs so they don't instantly cook and it also gets rid of a lot of the constant stirring you would have to do if you didn't temper
