Do you sell your bows in the UK?
@sheogoraththedaedricprince96752 ай бұрын
Do you think that this would be possible? I've been playing around with the idea of combining either two war bows or two long bows or a combination of the two to make a cable backed penobscot style cross bow. I wanted an expert opinion before I think about trying. I'm not sure if the penobscot style and the cable backing are even possible. Just a crazy idea I had to make a crazy crossbow
@sheogoraththedaedricprince96752 ай бұрын
I feel stupid now. I watched more of your videos and there is no way that the two can work in conjunction with one another. You either have a penobscot or you have a cable backed bow. Which one is better though?

I just found your channel. I've been researching bow making. I work in a sporting goods store and we sell archery equipment, but all of our products are geared towards deer hunting and our product line is limited to expensive copound bows that I dont really wamt to own. I would rather build my own bow and be proud of my craftsmanship. You used Black Locust for this one. Do you always use this species? We have a lot of Locust here in Ohio, but not sure if it's the same species. I can walk out in my woods and find pretty much anything other than maybe an exotic like Yew. Only one question really. What is your preferred bow making wood? Which one do you like the best? I see bowyers using a types, I just want durability and toughness. Also, your glue? What is it? I'm not familiar with it. Thanks for any response or feedback. I'm about to start my build. I'm not much of a videographer but I may do a blog or something, with pictures and a write-up. Excellent work sir. I love the sort of fantasy-bow aspect of somevof your projects. I'm going back and watching your older vids now. New sub. Thank you again for your efforts.

Do you normally make that much kindling from a bow stave? Seems there's five or six times as much wood in that stave as ends up being the bow.

If you use an elephants hide you might just creat the heaviest, slowest bow in existence. Instead, you've made the second slowest bow ever made.
