I loved the video. I now know about those 808 kicks inXpand!2. I've been using the Poly Electro Drum "808" that you made in that one video. I tweaked the envelope and made it into a real punchy, calm release 808. (with some distortion ofc) The repetition of the piano gave the beat a sense of continuity. I remember there was one song you mentioned before that had a record scratch all throughout the entire song. That record scratch on that song was like the piano in this beat. I really like the counter-melody you created with the bells. I as well have been experimenting with bells; I like mixing the FM stack bells with other bells and creating some big crisp bells. Finally, I'd like to thank you for showing us the full beat because now I've learned more about song arrangement. I really enjoyed the video, and thats not the food talking LOL.

Question how do you keep your recording loops from falling off tempo as the beat goes along. I be forced to record it to a separate audio tack but it gets annoying. but just building on the beat like that for a long period of time it will eventually start missing beats even if I quanatize and set temp etc.

@brookeadinolfi3993 Жыл бұрын
Hi Amir, this has really been helping me out and giving me further insight on making beats, not to mention in Pro Tools. I would like to know; when you used the Endless 808 Kick, it seems like it was pitched/harmonic. However, when I plug in my 808 Kick there's no pitching (No matter what note I play on my MIDI keyboard, it's the same pitchless sound). Might I know how you did that and how I could achieve it? I have an audio recording final due tomorrow and this would really help me ;w;
@amirperrymusic Жыл бұрын
Hmm.. that’s odd that it’s not pitched for you. Are you using Xpand ?
@brookeadinolfi3993 Жыл бұрын
@@amirperrymusic Yeah, I was, but I think I figured it out. There must have been some reason beyond that of my understanding, because I deleted the whole track, made a new one, and plugged in Xpand 2, and now I can play different notes just fine- as if there was a problem with the track itself. I have no idea why...
