That’s awesome , now all you have to do is learn how to play it

Bro I am really really critical with drum sounds... But real talk, you should make & release a drum kit of yours ❤️🔥

Ayyye! Thanks man appreciate the feedback! I will have to cook one up sometime soon. But I do use a lot of Croup’s kits. They are DOPE! You can get them from www.rawbeatz.com I can’t make hihats or snares sound as good as Croups. But I usually layer my snares with random recordings for extra texture. I LOOOVE texture. 😜

In your opinion which board would you purchase, the sub 25 or the minilogue XD to accompany your hardware drum machine?
@Tarnaybeats4 жыл бұрын
Jeff Black that’s pretty tough. The Sub 25 is just super nice sounding, beefy and had that Moog sound. But the Minilogue is soooo versatile. It’s a little more “cleaner” than the moog, but still sounds great! I think I would go for the Minilogue XD only because it does soo much more! 4 voice polyphony, the filter isn’t as good as the Sub but it’s still nice and smooth, unlike the OG Minilogue, that filter was a little thin. Haha
@jeffblack89114 жыл бұрын
Yeah the XD seems to be the move. But could the Behringer POLY-D be a marriage of them both? Hum...
@Tarnaybeats4 жыл бұрын
Jeff Black the Poly D is super enticing and might be the one! The only problem with the Poly D is that it’s only 1 osc per voice and it’s not true polyphonic. It’s actually paraphonic, so all the voices/oscillators use the same amp and filter circuit. Which can be frustrating because as you add notes to your melody you can potentially overdrive the filter and change the tone. Single notes sound smooth but chords are a little fuzzier. This could be good and I’m sure you can just turn it down so it doesn’t overdrive circuits. BUT, the XD is 3 osc per voice. So you can get REALLY interesting and rich tones out of it. It doesn’t have the buttery Model D filter though 😑 Might just get both 😂

I thought you were gonna actually make drums with the sub 25
@Tarnaybeats3 жыл бұрын
That would be a good idea. Although, that would be pretty bland IMO. I love natural textures from real kits and field recordings. Maybe next time though 🤙🤙
@ZenMountain3 жыл бұрын
@@Tarnaybeats why would it be pretty bland??? Maybe you don't know how.
@Tarnaybeats3 жыл бұрын
@@ZenMountain yeah good point. I guess what I mean is you only have white noise and waveforms to play with. There’s only ADSR envelopes to control dynamics. Just my opinion, drums made from synths are not that exciting. I’m a BIG fan of textures, especially from organic things. You can’t recreate the sound of hitting wood against wood or broken glass with a synth. But, I do like having a synth drum layered into a drum sample. Adds weight and beefs it up! That’s for sure! But beef by itself is, well, bland. You need the seasoning or sauce to spice it up! Ya dig?
