Making a belt pouch for a pocket knife.

In this one we are making a belt slide pocket knife pouch using the Maker's Leather Supply template. A quick and easy project that can easily be made from scraps. Very nice tutorial, it helps a lot, thank you. Since you mentioned pancake holsters, do you have any other templates for holsters on your website? I am already buying a few things from the website and I didn't see them. You mentioned people commenting on you not being very organized but the way I see it, this is real live action video and not everything happens on script. How would you approach a molded holster? What kind of sealant would you use (if you wanted to) ? Once again, thank you for the great tutorial and keep up the great work.

You carry the same pocket knife I do. I bought these in Branson, Mo. I bought one to carry with a wood handle. And they had another with a bone handle with their name and it says "Celebration 2000". It was on a little wooden display stand. I asked if I bought the knife, could I the stand also. It sits on its stand in a shadow box in my bedroom. I collect knives and swords and have over 150. But this is the knife I carry. I'll have to try to make one of these sheath for mine.

It is not necessary on these due to their small size. I do sew around the loops when making a holster.

@@daverobb8311 It really is not designed for that. Normally for a fixed blade knife you will want to sew in a welt so that you do not cut through your stitches.

I have been doing leather work for years now and have seen this video listed on KZbin quite often. I finally clicked on it this morning during my 1st coffee break, just to see how you could possibly take over 1 hour to explain how to build a simple pancake style knife sheath for a folding pocketknife? I got 30 seconds into the video and found out the reason why I hadn't subscribed to your channel nor have any of your videos on my "save" list. I have had to speak in public for many years and I faced the same problem until one of my students pointed this same thing out to me. So, please don't take this personally as I have already "been there and done that". It is simply your constant use of the hesitant word (if it even qualifies as a "word"), ***** UMMMM *****! That HAS to be the most annoying sound to come out of a "trainer's" mouth, when your viewers are trying to learn something or simply pick up some new hints and tips on procedural steps, from laying out the pattern to the finished product. I know that you probably don't even realize that you are doing this, and I don't mean to demean your message to your viewers but, personally, I cannot stand such utterances as "Ummm", "ya know", and "Ahhh" to list a few. They reflect a lack of style in your presentation and an unsure presence with what you want to say next in your dialogue. I would only suggest watching other leatherworkers, such as Don Gonzales, Bruce Chaney, and any other seasoned presenters on KZbin, there are hundreds to choose from, and listen to their dialogue and their presentations. You will find that, in most cases, they may utter something similar maybe twice during a 20-minute presentation. Hell, I do this occasionally if I am gathering my thoughts together for an impromptu presentation or to answer a question. But you used the "Ah" and "Umm" and "ya know" utterances no less than 10 times in 30 SECONDS! Check it out if you have any doubts, that amounts to about say, 55 "interruptions" per minute to give you a break to breathe occasionally, and that is way more than my mind cares to be interrupted by such distractions in a video. If you take just 3 seconds to utter 10 "ah's and um's", you waste about 10% of your total video with useless utterances! Who wants to listen to over 6 minutes of distractions when they are trying to learn something? Think about it ..... e
