This is the real deal. You have probably seen most of this video in advertisements for Roy's Woodworking. He has stolen my video content to use it as his own in promoting his scam woodworking plans. I repeat. This is the real deal. I am not afraid to show my face in my videos but if you look at the clips he has stolen you will never see me only my hands. You can find the plans here. www.davegatton.com/project-plans

Absolutely beautiful job on this, Dave!! I was so impressed, as was my fiance, that I just purchased the plans for this off of your website. I can not wait to see them in my email as I am very anxious to get started on this project. :)

I've seen pics of this but have not see it built yet. Breaking it down to the three assemblies does make it easier to see how it works. Good video.
@DaveGatton9 жыл бұрын
Steve Carmichael Yes it really not hard to make at all Steve. Only a couple of measurements are really critical. Thanks for watching.

Great. I am waiting for the plans Dave. I build one like this and have good success selling them. But I like this one, it is a lot beefier and simplifies the design a little. Thanks Dave. I am still working on building my CNC too.

Ted Kreeger Thanks for watching Ted. Let me know how your CNC turns out. I think you're going to like it.

+Dave I have made two of your bench/picnic tables. I found one bad dimension (at least I could not find the dimension). The second table was a real winner and I loved the results!! Thanks and wonder what is a good price to ask for it with or without finish coats? I filled all the 2x4s and holes. It works and looks awesome. Thank you!
@DaveGatton9 жыл бұрын
+tom purcell If you're talking about the dimension for the Stop Block that dimension was left off intentionally. That should be the last piece you put on and you simply cut a 65° angle the hold it up to the table (which should be level when doing this) and trace the profile so that you get an exact match. The other chamfer cut is just for relief so the dimension for that is not critical.
@alisfair9 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, Love the table and get lots of compliments on it. Have made 3 so far. Wish you would not go to 1/64 ths lol. Think a 1/32 or 1/16 would be easier to see for me.

So... I saw the title and thought... Hmmm... Is that supposed to be a picnic table bench??? Then I saw the start of the video and it all clicked! That is REALLY cool Dave!
@jeffoz12339 жыл бұрын
Very cool project. I may suggest making the table top using 1x4's just to make it a little bit lighter.
@DaveGatton9 жыл бұрын
Jeff Oz You could use 1 x 4's for the table to make it lighter but I was thinking it might be a little flimsy in the middle since it is only supported at each end and its about a five foot span. I used fourteen 2 x 4's and with the bolts, nuts, and washers I only have about $60 in total materials. A really fun and cheap project. Thanks for watching Jeff.

It appears that friction with the legs on bench 2 in the grass is the only thing keeping the table from collapsing? Do you feel it's sturdy and safe in the table mode? As always thank you for your video Dave.
@DaveGatton9 жыл бұрын
Marcus White You have a very keen eye Marcus. I realized when I opened it up to the Picnic Table I had forgot to add the stop blocks to keep the legs from over-extending. I added them after I finished shooting this video. Good catch!!

Hello Dave I enjoyed the video very much but I don't understand why you charging for the plans on your bench/table. I disagree very much......
@DaveGatton9 жыл бұрын
+William Dizon Thank you very much for watching my video William. I spent a few hours creating a 3D model and drawings of the bench/picnic table parts, figuring out all the correct angles, the correct hole locations, the correct dimensions, the correct pivot points, and the correct spacing to name a few things not to mention the time it takes to shoot the video, the time it takes to edit and upload the video so that others could easily build this project but if you don't feel like that information has any value to you I have no problem with that. Don't purchase the plans.
@greglambert64938 жыл бұрын
+William Dizon Ummmm if you don't think this mans know how and time and effort it took him to design the build and then the time and effort it took to make the blue prints and to shoot the video are worth the piddly $12 he is charging to purchase the plans then, well, go try to make it yourself.....smh.
